I had a short evening to myself in NYC during a business trip. It was too late to grab tickets for a Broadway show or standup act so I opted to go to the movies by myself (for the first time ever). There were a multitude of kiosks so you can grab your ticket quickly and they offer seat selection. From there, you go to the escalators and find yourself right at the concessions. I really enjoyed the fact that they offered gourmet caramel popcorn! I saw an IMAX show and it was worth it. The seats were extra comfy and the audio was amazing!

Honestly hadn’t come here since before the pandemic. Decided to take my kids and I remember why I come here. It’s strikingly pretty, enormous, and the city views are beautiful from here. I’ve been coming here all my life and it keeps getting better. I pre ordered tickets and picked them up at the kiosk. I pre ordered my popcorn and soda and picked that up at the concession stand. Refills during dinner are easier now since they have re-fill stations right outside of the theaters, so you don’t have to go downstairs. The theater was not crowded, super clean, and everything I wanted from an NYC movie theater experience.

hhahahaha fake news. i know you can't be possibly referring the the empire 25 on 42nd st because that place is a run down dump. what photos were you looking at?
Not all seats are like this, but even the regular seats are very comfortable. If that's an issue affecting whether you visit or not, don't worry about it.
Yes, as you enter the theatre from 42nd St, go all the way to the back of the lobby on the left. There are 2 elevators but 1 may only be in use. There are 25 theatres on over 5 different large levels [Starting on the 3rd FL with Guest Services, Theatres 1-6 & the only regularly functioning concessions stand, the next floor with only bathrooms and theatres #s 7 & 8, then next FLs, 9-13, 14-18 & finally 19-25. All FLs are accessible by elevator. Also, on most days ONLY the 3rd FL concession stand is in use.
You basically get the whole theater to yourself from what I have experienced.
Normally this theater shows most of the Indian movies and they get released pretty much at the same time as they do in India....maybe this one didn't make but you can check for other theaters in new jersey.
I don't believe they have special Valentine's day pricing but you can call the theater. Additionally you can purchase your ticket in advance through the AMC website or a third party like Fandango.
Porgy and Bess? Didn't that come out in the 30's? But if you want the Broadway musical you can go to the Metropolitan Opera to purchase tickets. They start at $175.00
I understand you think a girl was misbehaving and was rude to you and cursed you out and you are offended, now you are questioning the integrity of the place.I guess.
they have 8-10 kiosks but only 1 or 2 accept cash
