"Why can’t you be more like that dog?" was something another owner in the park asked their dog. They were observing how my dog, Rocky, was paying attention to me and non-reactive. We were prepared. We wouldn’t have heard this without help from Jeff and Rocky Jr. at Rocky Jr’s Dog Training. Our rescue had been in and out of 3 homes and had severe hip issues at 1-year old before he found us. He was not obedience trained and had many fearful behaviors in busy places like parks, extreme car anxiety, frightening resource guarding, and was even anxious of wind gusts. His reactivity and anxiety eventually lead us not being able to walk him too far from home. We started with the Complete Dog Training Program where Jeff quickly was able to capture Rocky’s attention. Soon we were able to build focus and work through behaviors. Jeff was patient while Rocky recovered from surgery, and I think the biggest reactivity improvements came after adding on additional BAT 1.0 & 2.0 sessions, with the help of Rocky Jr. Our Rocky still has his moments and we still have some work to do, but we’ve learned and accomplished so much and much more rapidly with the training and guidance. And hearing other dog owners now give praise instead of concerned looks feels especially rewarding. Thank you so much Jeff and Rocky Jr.!

My dog Titan and I both had a great experience with Jeff, he was always on time, very responsive and is very flexible with scheduling. He is very patient and positive to work with and doesn’t talk down to you if you aren't very knowledgeable about dog behavior. He will repeat things as many times as you need him to and never loses his patience or appears frustrated. He is very good at keeping the dogs engaged and they are always so excited to see him. As soon as I put Titans training harness on he starts looking out the window! Thanks Jeff for your help and knowledge, I look forward to working with you again in the future.

Jeff is wonderful! He has worked with both of my dogs on fear based leash reactivity and barrier reactivity. Through his 9 week program, he taught us invaluable lessons on how to help our dogs in fear provoking situations. I high recommend Jeff as he is very professional, knowledgeable, responsive and kind. He treats your dogs like his own!

We received a fear reactive dog into our foster home who was at the point of deciding if euthanasia was the way to go due to the humans who failed him in his life. We could not sort out the behavior this dog was displaying (most dogs have a trigger, but what was his?). The dog had been burned with a shock collar, which we also presumed led to some neurological issues for being shocked that high/long. With Jeff's assistance, expertise and guidance in force-free training we were able to assimilate the dog into normal dog living and he has been happy ever since- for years now. He was adopted by a couple with full disclosure and has not had a single incident, he goes boating, and into his people's office now. To even begin to describe the tremendous amount of success this case was would be nearly impossible. Jeff is very open and honest about everything he has going on so that you as a client can be understanding. The empirical evidence of all the success stories should speak volumes of his methods.

Hi Lynne, how long training takes to resolve behavioral issues and teach better behaviors depends largely on the owner and their ability to successfully practice what we teach. Sometimes things happen quickly, sometimes it takes longer. It all depends upon you. Please visit our web site for complete information. If you would like to pursue training, please complete the form on the Contact page. Thank you! Jeff Salter Rocky Junior's Dog Training Service http://rockyjrdogtraining.com
