Beautiful spot, level and well maintained sites with concrete "patios". Small sites to be sure, but all have a beautiful view of Lake Ontario.

Nice views of lake Ontario. I would NOT recommend this campground just because if you want to make sure you have the site you reserved you have to pay another $25. When I reserve a site that is available I should not have to pay another $25. to make sure I have it when I arrive.

A gem in upstate New York! Site was level and has a concrete pad. Water, sewer, electric hookup on two side in case you are driving in. Staff helped us back in as it was pretty tight. We had a deck with a very scenic view. Observed two sunsets and lots of lake activity. Campground is small so not much to do at the campground but PLENTY to do not far away. There is Sodus Point lighthouse, lighthouse museum, swimming, boating, hiking (Beechwood) as well as sitting by the campfire and watching the stars. I would HIGHLY recommend this campground but to those who don't have kids or have older children that like the outdoor activities as again there is not much for smaller children. Stop by, make some memories and enjoy the views.

Feel lucky to have found South Shore RV Park from a google search on my IPhone while traveling from Niagara Falls to Maine in early August of 2017. At first contact on the phone, Carol was extremely warm, friendly, pleasant, helpful, very much available as we got closer, and welcoming when we arrived. I felt like I was talking to someone I have known all my life and was going to visit her for the first time after years of not seeing one another. The location was beyond spectacular, even in the pouring rain that we arrived in, perched high above the shoreline of Lake Ontario, with over the top view overlooking the vast expanse of the Lake. We were met by our own personal guide to our site who stood in the rain giving us assistance with backing into site. We were very near the bath house which was clean, inviting and pleasant and just across from the sites that had front row views of the lake front. We were able to enjoy the view by just walking 30 yard across the way. Would have loved to have been here during better weather conditions but even with the rain and no spectacular sunset experience that is advertised, we still had reason to take and get pretty waterfront pictures. There are quite a few full timers but they don't set up camp to make it look like you're the outsider without all the yard art and permanent landscaping. We wish we could have stayed another night or several nights and will if we ever have a chance. We have nothing negative to say about our stay here or what we saw or experienced while here. Both Carol and the employees we came into contact when we arrived and before we left were wonderful. There is also a lakefront cabin with porch that faces the lake that is available that I can imagine is a real treat for an escape from reality.
