Yes they do raise the rates. But that is not the people working there fault. They also have to deal with the prices going up . You got to think of you where in there shoes.. they have to deal with a lot of people.. and sometimes when all they get is people yelling at you. Makes for a long day. They have always been kind to me. Yes I have had my lights shut off in the past. So as a single women back then taking care of my mother.. if I had 20 dollars I put it on there add money as I got it. So that when the bill was done. I would had it paid up to code.. so thank you.. for all you do..

The GHPUD is randomly adding multiple deposits to peoples accounts & then using invalid contracts to make people think they are legally bound to these deposits, they have referred me to their policy which only refers to A SINGLE deposit which I paid in full upon opening an account and was credited back after the probationary period. They have told me that anyone can be subject to another deposit every 12 months after they review your account & determine its satisfactory, & if unsatisfactory, they fabricate another deposit, but refuse to tell you what type of criteria they use to deem an account payment history unsatisfactory, provide no documents supporting what they say & keep repeating "we reviewed your account & it qualifies for a deposit based on bad payment history" I would like everyone to know that my account is actually paid up a month in advance & was paid in full a week early so I am very curious as to what exactly they use to make these determinations. The GHPUD also showed up at my house days after making a several hundred dollar payment directly to them to turn off my power & then required me to pay another $500 before turning my service back on. I have asked them to provide me with anything that even insinuates customers could be subjected to ANOTHER/MULTIPLE deposits after having an account for SEVERAL years, I have received nothing but a referral to their policy page, which I don't know if they know this, but a policy is not a legal form of anything & what they are trying to collect should be in the terms of service not a policy. It appears that the GHPUD is fabricating deposits in order to force people into applying for government assistance in hopes the customer will continue with bad payment history so they can keep the deposit at the end of the probationary period as that is the only form of resolution to this fabricated deposit they have offered.

Basically predatory energy providers with no competition or tact. They raise the rates multiple times in past years. There customer service reminds me of calling Comcast. They lack any empathy for any situation anyone ever goes through. Bottom line are profits. Call customer service or collections and no matter how nice we are they always talk in a degrading manner with an attitude of contempt. I thought not having any competition is a monopoly. Guess not. It does allow the PUD to have terrible customer service, ongoing inflatable rates with no regard for human life and still thrive. We are considering selling our home and moving to an area where there are multiple energy providers. Competition is good. It keeps companies from price gouging. What's your largest house hold bill. Ours is always the PUD.

Power has been off for a month, they said ***$, we finally get it together and when I'm standing there to pay it they said, now we want 100$ more. Jackels.

If it is a PUD meter it is probably on them. I would call and let them know what is going on and they will let you know for sure.
Often cities impose a privilege. Charge dependant on income level usually about 3 to 4 no greater than 6
