Clean, large rooms, restraunt on site nice but it is pricey, nice updated look. Staff not the friendliest. Ample parking. A McDonald's is right next door and on other side is a taco bell, which is nice and across the main highway it's located on is a grocery store and a dairy queen

We usually stay at the HI Express, but this location is a full Holiday Inn. A little bigger than our usual locations and it was very busy. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Check in staff could have been friendlier. She was efficient, but a little short in her tone/delivery. We were the only guests at the desk, so it shouldn't have been due to being rushed or overwhelmed. We did enjoy the restaurant breakfast versus the continental spread at the HIE locations. It would be nice of a few more things on the menu qualified or there was some form of juice available at buffet/menu as part of free options. Broken elevator did make for a wait as the location was bustling.

Went I picked this property over others, I was hoping that a stay at a Holiday Inn meant a comfortable and well maintained property. For this hotel, this was not true. While the room was cleaned properly, it needed repair, e.g. the bathroom door would not close, the tub faucet was nearly impossible to adjust to get hot water and only ne functioning slow elevator. Doors slamming at all hours and children running down the hall at 6 am was not appreciated after driving 600 miles. I will say the breakfast the next morning was quite good with excellent service.

I travel B/T Wichita Ks and Augusta Ga every year around Christmas to visit family. I stayed in the Holiday Inn in Popular Bluff several years ago as it was a convenient stopping point. I enjoyed my stay so much that I simply plan it as my stopping point on the way back to Kansas. The in house restaurant features Italian food. it is quite good. So good, in fact, that I see no need to go out of the hotel to eat. That is a big plus for a tired traveler. As usual, my room was clean, quiet, comfortable and safe with a nice staff. I have travelled the world and stayed at insanely over the top hotels as well as little basic Ma and Pop run hotels in America, Europe, Asia and Africa. For me it always comes down to those 5 items. Throw in a reasonable price and you hit the sweet spot. My interaction with the staff is usually brief and was this time as well. The check-in and check-out was pleasant and quick and staff was friendly and efficient. My only other interaction was in the restaurant. The staff was very busy but did a good job of serving their customers. Needless to say but I'll be back.
