Skipping people's numbers & won't answer the phone no matter how many times you call. When you go in, they're still requiring masks inside too. Whats with that. Place is a joke

Multiple phone calls, two times I waited on hold for over 40 mins only to be hung up on. After finally getting through, I sent the forms since they would not let me make an appointment for a marriage-related name change (covid protocols in Apr 2022). They have sent my request back multiple times, each saying something different was missing. After the second returned request, the person on the phone told me I needed to change my name with the state of Washington first which cost $300-ish dollars and a court appearance. Fine, I knew it was not correct, but I just want to change my name. I submitted everything, including the court documents, marriage license, and copy of my ID. They returned everything stating in a letter I needed to send in my original driver's license. I don't understand what they do, but they don't help people.

I cannot figure out how to use the extensive procedure SSA has for it's system online. I am certainly not the receptacle of all knowledge, but it is impossible to even try to correct my address. A mistake SSA made! If I call them (my cell rarely gets reception where I live), it takes forever to get someone, after being on hold for 45 minutes, just to have the call lost & NOTHING is taken care of! And now, I'm really ticked off because I've spent all that time trying to figure out how to do this.... & accomplished nothing. No wonder that I've yet to apply for MY retirement benefits. How can I do that if I cannot even correct my address!? I'm resorting to WRITING my local office & seeing if they can correct my address THAT way. I guess I'll go in person when I'm ready to start MY benefits. What fun.

DROP BOX ONLY AVAILABLE 9am-Noon, Monday-Friday Office hours on building say 9am-4pm but you are only allowed to use the drop box between 9am-noon - which is absurd. But also not published anywhere. You only find out once you drive all the way here during office hours only to be turned away. Hopefully this review will save you the trip.

Yes
Yes
I don't know if this is still germane but you just have to file for it. You have to have been married for more than ten years, you have to be unmarried currently, and have your divorce decree. You are entitled to an amount equal to 50% ot your ex-husband's payments. Yours is paid first and then you will recieve the difference between your check amount and the 50% of his benefit amount. (It doesn't matter if he is remarried only that you are not). You will only get 50% of the reduced amount he recieves because he is drawing his SS before full retirement age.
How do I make an appointment
Need repay....Check torn/ distorte ....can't be cashed new replacement check SOCIAL SECUROTY DISABILITY
Need 2018 social security 99
1 DOLLHAIR lol
75% of what you would receive at retirement age which is usually 65.
Yes you just need to go to the nearest Social Security office and let them know that you want to use your own benefits
Just call the SSoffice in Silverdale to make an appt or walk in.
I'd call Medicare in my case Part A & B came together. I was unaware they dont.
I was there just yesterday, I didn't have an appointment, I just checked in when I got there and they seen me within 15 minutes.
Yes they are
You can walk in now at the soc sec office have to wear a mask
We called and they told us to just walk in. We went on a Monday afternoon and it was about a 20 minute wait to be seen.
His local office may have a different phone number listed at the physical address to try calling. However be prepared for frustration I wag just trying to change my name on my card as I got married called for 14 days before I crossed my fingers dropped off my papers. They waited to process for days and that caused all my papers and drivers license to get screwed up. It took 6 calls sitting in the parking lot as they won't let anyone in to actually talk to you/help you. Finally got an answer on the phone and after alot of raised voices on my side I'm still not sure they fixed my problem....good luck
I think they are still remote only, however I believe an appointment could be scheduled on a case by case basis. I think you will need to call to determine if you require a in person appointment.
No you cannot at this time. The service/appointment line posted on the door is what you can utilize in the meantime.
They have a drop box just inside their outer doors on the left. I want to say they unlock their outer doors 9-3. They aren't opening their inner doors at all due to COVID. Why isn't a question I can answer.
You have to make an appointment they are working from home. It has to be an emergency in order for the appt also.
Mail in only.
You will want to go to the IRS website and check the status there. You won't be able to find out through google.
A call was the best option for me. they mailed it to me
No
You can just go in
No! That is always a scam. Just hang up the phone.
Ss card proof of Id and for any one else you are applying for.
Hours are 9-4 M-F at the Silverdale office
I would call SS. and let them know. They will then tell you what to do as far as notifying anyone.
It is probably cheaper to have Medicare than to have regular insurance. If you do not want to collect SS benefits at age 65 then wait until age 70 and then file. Your benefits will be higher.
Or you can just go in and sit and wait
Get the routing number and then either go in to the social security office or you can even call or set up online
By an SSA representative or the officer on guard? Also, was this video taken in the lobby or was this an interaction taken place outside of the facility?
You can get a replacement Social Security card online using their website, or you can go into the office. After confirming identity and making sure you haven't received ten replacement cards in a lifetime or three in one year, you'll be able to get a replacement Social Security card with ease.
For that location the hours are 9am-4pm. With the exception of Wednesdays.
At age 60 she can collect if you die. If she is disabled she can collect now. She will get a lower percentage than if she collected at age 65 or 70.
You need to go to the right office. If you live in Kitsap County, you go to the Silverdale office. If you are there when they open, you will spend a shorter amount of time waiting. Take a book or sewing.
No, not yet.
No
It opens at 9am. I'd advise to be in line at 0830 quick service. Or, SSI online account will let you know a well.
Lucky yesterday wait was 2 1/2 hours.
you will need to go to SSA,to find out that information?you can also call them
I would also apply for help thru DSHS IF YOU HAVENT DONE SO ALREADY. My understanding is. when 18 the person will have to apply for SSI. My sister was always under my Dads name til she became an adult age. I wonder, if this still the way its done?
Yes you can start receiving benefits at age 62
I don't know what that word means so if you can tell me I can prob help you answer lol!
If i move to another state do i let the othre office know
Since when is the government in the business of drug rehab? Go to the family for help and leave our social security alone.
