This was an amazing campground. Spectacular views, very clean, private sites, very friendly hosts, larger than average firewood bundles. Easy walk to the overlook with views all the way across the canyon.

This site was very beautiful and had stellar views of Ouray! We camped at site 35. It’s cash only, which we didn’t have, but the host was kind and held the site for us while we went back down to town to use the ATM. We had a fire despite the rain earlier in the day and enjoyed our s’mores as small animals like a mouse and chipmunk scurried near us. In the morning, a beautifully songbird and a deer joined us for breakfast.

We only camped there once at the end of September right before closing. We had a Volkswagen EuroVan so we used the heater inside, which consequently drained our battery! There was frost on the ground in the morning when we got around to asking the camp host for a jump start, so it must have been below freezing. If I had to guess, I would say lows between 25-35 F.

I would say the spot we had was 10'x15'. Probably could fit an 8 person tent at the most
There are no services other than toilets at the amphitheater campground. You might get lucky and stop by an rv park in Ouray for a quick shower and a load of laundry

Your chances are ok if it's a weekday and you arrive before noon. If it's a summer weekend, your chances are slim.
