Courtyard by Marriott Peoria Downtown

I did not have a positive experience at Marriott Courtyard. I booked 2 nights at this location. Upon arrival the front desk staff was very friendly. When I got back to my room at the end of the first day I found that the room had not been cleaned, bed not made, towels not changed. I contacted the front desk who advised that due to COVID they would not be cleaning rooms. However, they would gladly provide fresh towels upon request. I subsequently requested fresh towels and extra pillows, but when I returned later that night nothing was provided. My wife and I ended up using wet towels, shared one paper cup, and 2 little soaps between us, for 2 nights. My advice if you stay more than 1 night: BYOT (Towels). Apart from that, the floors were a little grubby, there were shoe prints on the bathroom floor, and the water glasses ... untouchable: they had clearly been wiped with a dirty cloth. The hallways and lobby could definitely benefit from vacuuming, and the elevator from a good scrubbing of the floor. Shame on you Marriott Courtyard.

Nice hotel, totally reccomended. I stayed here a couple of nights for work and I left very satisfied with the room and the service. I had a double in the seventh floor with the view to all downtown. The room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was also really nice. The only detail I have to mention is that in the map there are two hotels as Marriott and I was trying to enter to the one on the left. It seems like they did some remodeling and the two locations come up when looking for it but it's the same. Maybe it was just me. I would definitely would stay here again, there are a few restaurants around and the restaurant in the hotel is pretty good as well.

Our room was disgusting. There was hair in the shower, the shower handle spun in circles and exposed the wall behind it, the desk in the hotel had a chunk of wood missing from it, there was dirty fingerprints all over the walls and door, the soap dish had a sticky residue on it, strands of the carpet were missing and none of the garbages had garbage bags in them. The room was was also tiny and outdated. I am not happy at all with my experience. I have stayed at hotels that charged $40 a night that were nicer than this. The only upside to our whole experience was how nice and friendly the front staff were.

The staff was very friendly and make me feel like a welcomed guest. The lobby was nice. The rooms are nice but my shower curtain was covered in mold. The staff was apologetic and switched it out and everything else during the stay was great.
