Great area that feels more like vacation. Lots of business closed and some new businesses came in. Happy to see some life and activity. Tried True Food and they were good.

Fun place to shop, eat and play! Lots of great shopping, yummy restaurants and fun places for families. There are paddle boats, carousel, playground, etc for the kiddos. We’ve enjoyed the candy shoppe, cupcake place, and a few of the restaurants. There’s also a movie theater and other fun attractions

Great spot for a bite to eat and a stroll along the boardwalk. Had lunch outside at the Silver Diner overlooking the water and it was a perfect afternoon. Lots of food options or go for a ride in one of the paddleboats. There's also a carousel and playground.

Yes, right now its cold but when the weather is nice you can enjoy a nice walk by the lake watch a movie and eat in one of the many restaurants
It depends on what you do there. Restaurants, shopping cost money. Walking around the lake does not.

No that's in the Mattie J Stepanick park in Rockville MD. Near the King Farm.
They just finished the outdoor stage. Today (June 22) I saw musicians setting up for an evening performance. I may be able to post pictures, but not right here in this answer. There are 2 Marriott hotels right on the lake, I'm sure they would rent rooms and cater some food. If all that is too pricey, I've seen wedding party members taking photos in grassy areas around the lake.
That's public without reservations. I recommend you to previously look for the locations you are interested in previously in order to verify that you do not enter into remodeling or have no access
