Do not go here you are much better off buying an old school bus and turning it into a home. First they sold our house to someone else. We had picked a model off the lot came with all furniture dishes and decoration. They had to rebuild hours and they provided some money to replace the furniture but I lost out on the dishes and decorations. Then they took forever to build and place our home on our lot. Then they charged a twenty five thousand dollar land improvement fee that they did not do. So we lost out on that money too. Then we found out our dishwasher had a faulty part and had been leaking for more than six moths. It took them almost a year to replace the molding cabinets. All the while they have put up three new homes right next to me. And to top the cake when they replaced the cabinets they had the wrong doors. They have had my cabinet doors for months now and refuse to come out and put them on. They won't me to load up four kids waste my gas and go get them myself because they don't want to send a service guy to put them on. All the while I have watched them put in a brand new home from kitchen window in the matter of two weeks .

Described my needs in detail upon my first visit and was told there was no issue and Clayton could handle it. We then chose a home and placed a deposit. Pre qualification was already done with a Clayton approved mortgage broker. It took 3 weeks to get a site visit during which all construction details were discussed. I then received a construction quote 20K higher than anticipated. I questioned the numbers only to be told that grading costs had been added by mistake even though it was clear from the start I was doing the grading. In addition, the furniture inside the home was included in the purchase price but it was added back into the final price by mistake. Another week goes by and I inquire about progress on my deal. At which time, I am told Clayton was “gunshy” about the number of acres (52.53, remember it’s not a problem) in my land/home purchase and approval was needed to proceed. I then requested an answer be provided immediately. I received a call back stating a lot of BS but basically, Clayton didn’t want to proceed. I know have to wait 10 days for a refund and I have lost considerable valuable time in the process. They did apologize though so I guess I will get my time back now. There is a reason for their rating. You should consider other options unless you are glutton for punishment and crave uncertainty.

Horrible experience,MUSick T is a liar he had me waiting on a home and then sold it ,i told my rent manager that I was moving ,and my husband is a parallelized from the waist down ,,i have a loan and deposit just waiting to hear to see the home.He needs to be fired ,this is no way to treat anyone ,i m going elsewhere but i am not going to stop until he is fired.because he could have called me and told me ,i also calling the better business bureau on him .He should not have done this .
