Really nice hotel. A wild turkey greeted Us in the parking lot! Rooms are clean and spacious enough for my family of four to sleep in. They do skimp on body wash and shampoo. Definitely not enough for a family of four to use so we had to get more. The pool is a good size and has towels that you can use in cabinets next to it. Only thing I would advise is go to breakfast early. We unfortunately went 15 minutes before closing and they're not one to have it fully stocked until the very end. There wasn't much for us to eat except for some bagels and cereal. All the hot stuff was gone. It was definitely higher on the price per night than most other hotels but you can't beat the location if you're there to visit the student or do something on the campus. Never got to use the fitness room but if we have the ability to stay here again I would definitely use it because it look nice.

This hotel is literally amazing! In planning for our field trip, we made multiple bookings for individual rooms, which could have resulted in a chaotic situation, however the staff reacted to our error extremely well. Particularly, Hamid went out of his way to ensure we had a pleasant experience, and it’s thanks to him that our field trip was able to go smoothly. Additionally, I went to the lobby around 2 AM to get something to drink, and after noticing that the hot chocolate packets were out, Amaris offered to make me a hot chocolate herself (which was delicious). The rooms themselves are very clean and quite large, with comfortable mattresses. All in all, this is an incredible hotel with truly wonderful staff.

I booked my stay via phone and did not check my reservation booking email. The lady who helped me book my stay quoted me $700 for one room and $1100 for two rooms. Because the two room deal sounded good, I booked it. When I arrived at the hotel I was billed $1500. I called the Hyatt phone number again to ask the customer service folks to have a manager look up our call recording to check this. I was placed on hold and gave up after forty minutes of waiting. Please look up the call recording and forward it to me and listen to it yourselves. I doubt I am in error, but it is possible. If Hyatt made the error, please refund the difference. Thank you. Edit 1: I just settled in with my kids and went down to the pool only to find out it is closed for maintenance for the duration of my stay. I am actually quite upset now. The reason I booked this hotel was that there was a pool for my kids to swim in. I specifically asked about this in that same call with the same lady about this and was told it was actually open right now. Please send me the recording so we can get this resolved. Edit 2: I just met a gentleman in the elevator who is headed back down to the front desk because the front desk gave him a room that someone else was already in. Geez. Edit 3: I got an email from Hyatt claiming they listened to the call and they said $1500. They did not attach the recording though. I asked for the recording and for an explanation about why they said the pool was open and working when that was false. The location is perfect for UC Davis but bring earplugs. The sound of the train in room 333 was incredibly loud. It sounds like the train is going to hit the building at 11:45. Really loud. Great if you like The Polar Express but it’s unbearable. Otherwise everything else is fine. The breakfast is continental only - no scrambled eggs or waffles or hash browns etc. Still ok overall. Our bed was missing the main sheet but the bed and duvet were comfy. Just don’t plan on going to bed before midnight.
