I rented from scootaround on a recent trip to disneyland in anaheim. I cant be on my feet very long and regular scooters arent comfortable, so I rented their Whill power chair. It was clean, in excellent shape, ran well, and was very easy to maneuver. It ran all day on a single charge too. Scootaround was pleasant and easy to deal with. They dropped it off and picked it up from my hotel on time. They also communicated with me so i knew when they were on their way. I am in the process of planning my second trip to Disney and I'll be renting from Scootaround again.

Their offer of a discount on the scooter rental for my trip after I had ordered it months prior to their offer and then refusing to honor that discount because I had already ordered the scooter was disrespectful. Offering me a discount on a future rental of 80+ dollars was a poor management decision. That in addition to causing me to have to leave the scooter on my cabin, rather that being able to disembark with the scooter, caused me the have to walk about a quarter of a mile to get to a wheelchair, so I could disembark the ship may be good for them but not for their clients. It is unlikely that I will ever rent from their firm again.

I have called three times regarding the difficulty we had with the power chair we rented for our cruise. The power chair was delivered as expected however ran 30 minutes and that was it. The chair would not run. My husband had to push the chair to the elevator to get to the 14th floor to our cabin. We had reserved three power chairs in July 2018 for our July 2019 cruise so the three individuals with mobility challenges would be able to go and have fun. The chair looked brand new. We called at the next port to report the difficulty to Scoot around. They gave my husband instructions to resolve the problem. The chair still would not work so we called at the next port. My husband was given additional instructions. We were not able to use the chair. Considering we are previous customers and also bought a large scooter 2 years ago from scoot around I expected better customer service.

My scooter rental with Scootaround was without a hitch. The young man I spoke with on the phone to set things up was very pleasant and helpful; he even got me set up with a discount that brought my total cost well below the stated price. My scooter was plugged in and waiting for me in our stateroom on the ship, and from what I could tell it was brand new and matched the one listed on the computer exactly. Overall the scooter performed perfectly and was a huge help getting around the huge ship and even two shore excursions, and I never got it below half charge the entire cruise. My one suggestion would be that when the rentals are being scheduled, that the Scootaround representative make sure and ask about SEAT HEIGHT; we had a terrible time getting the seat lowered to match my height, and eventually needed one of the ship’s engineers to come and help us get the lynchpin unstuck and the seat lowered. Overall, a great experience with a very good company. I will not hesitate renting from Scootaround any time we need one of their products.
