My daughter has been attending Sylvan Learning for three months now. Last year’s “distance learning” was so hard on my daughter & left her a whole year behind. The teachers here work with her at her own pace, which is so helpful. She feels rushed at school because she isn’t on the same page as the other kids. She tells me every session how much she enjoys coming to Sylvan. They also offer a great reward system. She is always coming home with cool toys she has chosen with the points she has earned through the lessons worked on. I highly recommend Sylvan Learning of Puyallup.

My son started Sylvan at the beginning of summer and is still enrolled. They completed an assessment and tailored a program to fit my son's needs. Staff took the time to listen to what our goals were and with the assessment, work up a custom program to improve his learning techniques. My son is building his confidence in school this year and doing better in the classroom. I would highly recommend this Sylvan location. We are always treated with respect and listened to.

We can help ESL students improve the skills that they have. We do not teach the English language from the ground up, but we do help students improve their vocabulary, comprehension and writing skills.
Our programs are designed to work best with ages 5 - adult.
In determining your tutoring budget, please consider that at Sylvan you are hiring a team of professionals to assess your child's needs, design and implement a program to specifically address those needs and to provide on-going monitoring and measurement of the program's success. We also provide a professional learning environment and all materials, including resources such as manipulatives, textbooks, computers and more. Parents typically pay between $300-$500 per month depending upon their child's needs and program goals.
The assessment is $95 and covers one or more areas in Math, Reading, Writing, and or Study Skills. Most families pay between $250 and $400 per month for a Sylvan program for their child. It doesn’t cost anything to give our admissions directors a call and find out more. They are Marre and Julie and are both very friendly!
