If you miss the third reich and hate America you’ll love this department. If you’re not a traitor to your country you’ll be disturbed by their open acceptance of officers who embrace Naziism.

Very responsive! Just tonight I had to call about a suspicious car (non emergency) and Kent police showed up within minutes. This has been my experience with Kent PD in general; when you need them, they get there fast!

Nice enough people. But when my car was stolen they had already caught it in a traffic stop because the driver had warrants and she just sped off. They didn’t bother pursuing it despite the fact I had reported it stolen and it wasn’t found until two days later in ellensburg by the Washington state patrol who actually did their jobs and brought me back my car. Police gotta step it up with bringing people to justice. And our mayors and city council members need to give them more freedom to do just that.

I lived in and out of Kent for the last 30 years. I don't care much for the changes in the people that have moved here. Lots more crime due to all the section 8 housing all over. But the Kent Police handle business. They hire the best officers from anywhere. I have lived in many other cities and never cared too much for many other departments. The most respectable officers i've ever seen. This department does an excellent job at protecting the citizens when called upon. Pierce County PD is the second best department in Washington. Whoever trains the officers at the Kent Police department, you're doing a great job. Just had to give a quick shout out to this department for their outstanding work.

Hi David, the KP department are taking the highest value of emergency calls. Your reporting does not mean it is being ignored. They are short staffed and working up against a12 hr shifts.
Because of the F the Police movement. Some chicken-wing people wanted the cops gone and so they left. 👏👏👏 Congrats, you can now officially fend for yourself.
They can definitely point you in the right directly for handling something like that. Everyone there is super friendly and accommodating, give em a call!
If you live within the City of Kent's jurisdiction, you can either apply with the Kent Police Department or King County Sheriff's Office. Applications are available at Kent PD during business hours. A CPL (Concealed Pistol License) is sometimes called a gun permit, CWP (concealed weapon permit) or CCW (concealed carry weapon permit). Check for more info: www.dol.wa.gov/business/firearms/faconcealreq.html
You go to the website and check the information there.
If the arrest was due to an outstanding warrant & whether its extraditable, they could be transported to the appropriate jurisdiction. Where did the offense occur? If arrested in Kent but alleged crime occurred in another city or outside of Kent's jurisdiction, they could be transported to the appropriate jurisdiction. There's 2 jails in Kent: the City of Kent Correctional Facility (Kent jail) & the King County Maleng Regional Justice Center (RJC). Bottom line, it depends...
The police department doesn't provide Spanish classes.
If it's a police report from the Kent Police Department, you can't print your report from the library. You'll need to contact Kent PD to request a copy.
The police department posts press/news releases on their social media platforms. Check out their Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/kentpolicedepartment/
You should be able to directly contact the court the citation was issued through.
If you've already reported your vehicle stolen, you can request a copy of the case report that will include the license plate. You should also be able to contact the Department of Licensing and have them locate the license plate using the VIN (vehicle identification number). If you don't know the VIN, it should be on your insurance card.
There is no Officer Lance that works for the Kent Police Department.
The Kent Police Department uses Axon BWC (body worn cameras)
