Grossest experience of my life. We came in last night, all the staff members saw us and ignored us for about 10 minutes. The hostess continued sweeping and walking around aimlessly in the back. It was obvious that they were trying to discourage people from eating there because they did not want to do extra work. More parties poured in to the front and we waited. Finally the hostess came up, “it’ll be 10 minutes unless you want to sit at the bat” she said annoyed. We decided to to sit at the bar. My friend and I ordered our food and ordered a chips and queso to share. The rude hostess from earlier brought it out and gave it to the party across from us. I could tell they were confused but they ate some. The bar tender realized the mistake, instead of making us a new one, picked up the eaten one and gave it to us. I refused to eat it, then he picked it up again and gave it to the party behind us. The same queso was passed between 3 parties DURING A PANDEMIC. Not to mention the HEALTH code violation. Scared of more unknown food borne illness risk I swiftly canceled my order and left. 🤢🤢🤢🤢

First off, the waitress was very nice and pleasant but.....I really don't like the fact that her thumb was inside my salad bowl. The salad wasn't all that great to begin with. It was the Mexican chicken salad, can't really remember the exact name but it had way too many flavors going on. Plus the rice was extremely hot which made the lettuce warm. Yuk. The corn and beans were cold. It just wasn't anything I'd order again. The other waiter carried out several dishes on one arm and the food was touching his side. I know this may seem like small stuff but I don't want things touching my food. It seems the place is going downhill every time I've gone in. The one in Farmington is a lot better.

The you man who served us was very friendly and had a smile to sooth away the days stress. I will say I got on his case for the little bit longer wait we experienced. I feel he made up for his care on our table after. Plus after I got him to smile the wait was soon forgotten. It was the pick of the evening and had available well the rest of Durango dinning had waits and reservations to fill. I fail to get the young mans name but i suggested you request his area and i promise this young man will bring your dinning experience at max levels and you won't regret picking Applebee's. 💯

This Applebee's is connected to a hotel, which is right on the waterfront of the Animas River in Durango. It's a busy place, but parking is adequate. Restrooms were also clean. We were seated right away, but very shortly thereafter, we asked to be moved. This was because of the overly loud conversation two tables away, where every second word was an F-Bomb. The hostess was happy to help. We ordered quickly, but food delivery was very slow. About 30 minutes, which was not acceptable. When the food did arrive, we enjoyed a small Caesar Salad, which was big enough to be a meal, and a Cajun Burger, along with a delightful conversation with other guests across from us who were from Israel. It was twilight when we were finished and we enjoyed a short walk on the river walk.

I'd call & ask ,no idea weather or not never needed WiFi while eating lunch /dinner
Since most places post only that their hours will differ on holidays, and locations vary, you'd have better luck calling and asking the location you want to go to.
No we don't go out just for happy hour and we stop going because its over priced for the amount of food you get. The place has gone down hill big time
