Went as a walk-in in the morning since appointments were all booked up, expecting to wait for hours. My number was called within 20 minutes. Everyone was very friendly with quick and efficient service to match. Definitely deserves 5 stars.

Mostly efficient, especially for a DOL, but it is frustrating to not have an estimated wait time and having the numbers called out of order. At least it was cool and comfortable

Best DMV experience I've ever had. I had a 9:45am appointment on a Thursday. I walked in 30 mins early, the front desk guy greeted me, asked what I was there for and if I had the required documents. Then I got a queue ticket and went straight to the agent with no wait. I was so surprised. The agent I saw was friendly and efficient. Signage at this office is fantastic too, from the easy to read digital queue displays to the small card plaques about credit/debit card fees at the desk. And as someone who generally despises going into downtown just because of parking and traffic, this area actually had tons of street parking - and only $0.25 per 15 mins from 8-11am. Thanks to the staff and whoever else involved for making the new EDL license experience incredibly seamless.

I don't write many reviews, but was compelled to after my visit here. No one looks forward to a visit to the DMV. This was by FAR the most pleasant experience of this type that I've had. Literally all 3 people I engaged with were warm and welcoming. I got my number to wait and before I could even sit down my number was called. I don't see what you could ask for more out of a licensing place. Deserves a much higher rating (It seems a lot of the bad reviews are in regards to phone calls, which I can't speak to). In person service was top notch. Thanks

No free parking unfortunately. There are numerous paid parking garages and some spots on 2nd st.
Come in and pay $20.
Either $54 for a standard ID renewal or $78 for an enhanced ID renewal.
Yes, there is a $2 minimum fee for credit, or 6% rounded to the nearest $.25.
No, you'll need to bring documentation proving it's you and another photo of your asking about ID and/or Driver's licenses... if it's your car's registration you can renew online... pick up or have new tabs mailed to you....
M-F 8:30-4:30 by appointment
Here is an overview: https://www.dol.wa.gov/driverslicense/gettingidcard.html Here are the files to getting an ID, with a free more links you'll need: https://www.dol.wa.gov/driverslicense/idproof.html
When can I get an enhanced drivers license
yes
The address is already updated in maps. 450 3rd Ave is the new office. I went there last week. The previous office (205 Spring Street) in downtown is shut down.
That depends on your location. I'm not aware of your location right this second.
$20 to just replace a lost license. Up to $54 to renew a standard license.
Yes, but this office doesn't test.
20 for address change
I don't see why not unless your ISP forbids it.
at the seattle west office 8830 25th ave sw by appointment. plan to spend 40 dollars or so
Yeah..got it in 5 days
A current electric bill, a current cable bill, etc.
You can get a renewal for your license, with extra fees depending on how long it's expired. I'm not sure how much, but after 6 months there's another fee. It's already expensive, I'm guessing it could be a couple of hundred dollars. It might give you an idea how much, looking on their website under "renewal fees".

I'm not really sure, but make sure you bring that passion and sense of urgency with you when you visit the DMV.
Not to this office, it is a driver licensing office. You can send it to any Vehicle Licensing Office.
Shoreline? Maybe west Seattle.
If it is a Washington license come in and get it replaced for $20. If it wasn't, come in with all your I'd documents and have a chat.
Little tough to get parking on busy days
This should be possible. In fact, if you buy at a business, they will register the vehicle for you
I think you have to make an appt now because of covid. Otherwise you just walk in and get in the correct line. With two picture forms of ID like a passport and Costco card.
You need an appointment to get in, sometimes if it's really slow they might let you come inside. But that's pretty rare. I was able to get an appointment for the next day a week ago, just by checking back on the appointment tool, someone canceled i think and i was able to make an appointment for the next day instead of about a month ahead. Good luck
no
no
Yes, you can make an appointment online. It usually takes about a month to get an appointment though.
Yes you do because of the pandemic they stopped walk-ins, because masks are off u should call them and see if walk-ins are back. We wear our keys, cell, and wallet on tether lanyard cords and haven't lost one yet hang in there!
Depends on the issue.....
yes, if you do not want to wait forever
You'll need a passport or drivers license, proof of residency, social security. For more info visit dol.wa.gov
This is a driver licensing office. You will want to contact a vehicle licensing office(like Ballard Auto Licensing) for an answer to your question.
You get a birth certificate from vital statistics in the capital city of the state you were born in
No
Honestly, I'm not sure. You may have to set up appointment and request a translator. Just check or www.dol.gov
Check the website, or call them.
Yes, you can order one online and even print out a "temp license" which doesn't include your photo but is a valid document which you should keep in your wallet or car until you receive a new one in the mail
I wold call and ask it's different range.
You should be able to do it online on their website
In that case, try using your passport, social security card and or, your birth certificate.
Hello, please visit this website for more information. https://licensingexpress.wordpress.com/2020/06/15/driver-licensing-offices-to-begin-reopening-by-appointment-june-22/
Yes, but please visit www.dol.wa.gov first to learn what specific documents you will need to get an ID card or license.
MY LICENSE IS GOOD UNTIL 2021. CAN I RENEW NOW?
No
If I remember correctly, they charge you $25
If they are recieving dshs benefits they can get a voucher for the ID to be $5 if not the normal cost to reissue is $20 I believe. There's a 2.25 charge for using a credit or debit card.
I'm not sure, check with the DMV they can tell you.
I'm not sure, I really don't think they charge to see your driving record. But I'm not sure.
Yes
Take the bus. It is 2 blocks from the nearest bus stop.
Reach out to a vehicle linensing office. This office is a driver linensing office.
If it involves testing, that is not available at this location.
Yes
I think they do not sure
Only the written part can be taken here. They have other places which are set up for taking the driving part.
I think so. But they also take checks.
I haven't ever been able to do that but never hurts to try
Not without consent. But I'm no lawyer so...
You can change your address there or online
https://www.dol.wa.gov/driverslicense/fees.html
Yes, as long as it is a Driver Licensing Office. You'll pay $13 with cash or check, or $15 with debit or credit.
Yes
This is handled by the vehicle licensing office, however you can pick up the blank application form to take to your doctor at the driver licensing office, you just can't turn it back in there
You need a proof of birthday document like birth certificate, a foto from an official government issued I D. since this is your first Washington id, it can be from a earlier government issued expired id, passport or yearbook, and proof of address-utility bill, or copy of your lease, ( that can also be your signature document, as can and expired out of state ID/license ) Any other business mail with your current address. You have to prove date of birth, address, a signature document like your social security card and a picture to to complete the set.
Unfortunately, these are people working in these offices and some people are new, or haven't been properly trained and something that is perfectly acceptable is turned down by a person who doesn't know or just wants to make it difficult for you! I encounter this terrible inconsistency in the vehicle licensing offices around Seattle ALL THE TIME! Documents that are acceptable aren't always accepted, and too often are denied by grouchy workers who want to cause you additional hassle or to make them feel powerful in a power less job, or simply poorly trained and all to often simply stupid. I have worked next to each of these types while assisting customers at the Seattle DOL offices.
You can't, as far as I know.
You will need to contact them by phone to find out what documents are needed. Otherwise you could waste a lot of time there and have to come back anyway, if you don't bring the exact required documents.
You might be able to keep your plates, but I would ask the Office for Vehicle Licensing.
I would definitely stop by to check if they can give you a temp license that is valid with another photo id (such as passport)
Yes, they do
Add her onto the registration and then i believe retitle her onto your title as a joint owner. Me and my other half just went in and requested the add i believe the fee is based on vehicle information and location city.
Yep
Go to the dept of vehicle licensing, pay your registration fee and you get your tabs.
When you renew or apply for a new license, you have the option to change the "Organ Donor" option. If you really want to remove it, you will likely need to apply for a new license following any instructions for updating information on your license (similar to a name change). If you look for "updating" your license, there should be some helpful info on the website. If you can wait until you need to renew, just go ahead and change your "Organ Donor" status at that time.
Yes, but bring something to read and a snack. Your in for a LONG wait.
