First week in review: I just moved in last week, Dan was incredibly welcoming and warm. I had a few issues with the apartment and he was able to fix them in no time. Great guy, also my dog loves him. --- Updated Review: The Carter was my first apartment after leaving college. I drove across the country with my dog and stepped foot in the Carter after seeing Washington for the first time. The apartment is well built, quiet, well priced and spacious. The community spaces make a huge difference and the gym does the job. Most special about The Carter is the staff. They were warm and made me feel at home, thousands of miles from my hometown. I would like to highlight maintenance professional Dan, who was wonderful with my late dog Juice and property manager Meghan Alexander / Sean who were very accommodating while I was making my transition. 6/5 Stars!

I have lived here for two years now and I would recommend living here. I like how conveniently located these apartments are. They are safe, clean, and the units are nice. I just have to mention that I have had a package stolen once, and bikes get stolen pretty often as well. Aside from that one of the best things about this apartment is Dan in maintenance. He has been efficient, thorough, and genuinely nice. He is the main reason why I am happy to live here.

The process started out great with the previous management team. Communication tapered off after the change in management was announced. My wife and I were a bit nervous heading here not knowing how the building would be managed. We had just gone through a management change at our apartment in Ohio and the quality of the property went down pretty dramatically. We had our move-in scheduled for 6/27 which also ended up being the first triple-digit day during the heat wave. As a result, the office was closed (which we didn't learn until we were about to drive over to the property), and we were in a bit of a panic with a truck load of boxes and no where to put them. I left messages on the maintenance line fully expecting that we weren't going to be able to get our unit keys as planned. I then received a call from Katie, the property manager, and she assured me that she would get us our keys and let us into the building. We were ecstatic! What could have been a huge disappointment of an experience, turned into an amazing example of dedicated customer service. Katie arrived to get us our keys and was pleasurable to speak with on the phone as well. I think that is what stood out the most to me. It wasn't just that she was there when we needed help, it was also her demeanor. She made us feel welcome and never acted inconvenienced for a second despite her coming in on that hot day to help us out. She was happy to be there for us despite all of the issues going on that day, and for that, we are very grateful. We are very happy that we chose The Carter!

I am editing my review after the new management went out of their way to work with me to accommodate my requests in a very rapid time frame that also addressed my health-related needs to find an apartment unit. I currently enjoy my quiet apartment. Thanks April, Alyssa, and team for working with me and for helping me find a home in iteration two.
