Never in my life have I experienced a dirtier hotel than I did when I stayed here. I’m glad we only stayed for 1 night. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeting by a horrible smell. Smells like a combination of cigarette smoke, weed, and mildew. Me and a few others in line had to wait for about 20 minutes before a young lady came to man the front desk, which is no fault of her own because it looked like she was also acting as the maintenance person so she was busy. The hallways are dirty and smelly, even worse than the lobby. Our room wasn’t anything to write home about. It appeared clean but it also had a weird smell to it like mildew. However, without shoes or socks, the carpets felt sticky as all get out. The worst part didn’t come until the morning when while getting ready, we discovered live roaches in the bathroom and bed area. We quickly left and reported the issue to management. But instead of a full refund they only gave us $25 back in the form of credits. If you can swing it, stay at the Hilton next door or across the street.

Stayed here as it was one of the required hotels of part of an event we were in town for. The kitchen was a plus as it helped us save on money during our trip. No oven just a two burner stove. There is a trick to use it, you have to start a timer on the wall. There was no sign I had to call down and ask. It was relatively clean enough. No cleaning services during our stay which was fine for a couple days. Toilet was one that needed to jiggle the handle, otherwise it sounds like it swallowed a small child. There were no towels anywhere. None in the workout room, none in the pool, none in the room. We had to go ask for some, were told they were limited on towels. Shampoo and such were the large bottles on the wall. The bath gel was empty. We wanted to add another day to our stay. Booking.com had it for a significant amount less. They wouldn't match the price. Then the lady told me if I booked that way they, "couldn't guarantee payment". I said, "what does that mean?" And she looked at me blankly. It was rather odd. There was one woman at the front desk another day who was very professional and not only helped me but also another guest that had a problem. It is a dog friendly place. We love animals so it was fine for us, but across the hall had a dog that was clearly left alone and cried unit 10:30 at night. You have to sign a form about the smoking policy which we appreciated, including Marijuana. But there were clear smells around the elevator. Pretty gross. Wasn't near our room, we just took the stairs. Many choices for hotels in the area. But really great location. Close to the highway. 15 minutes to the convention center. No food on sight, but close to everything.

I stayed here for 2 nights. The front desk were very nice people they got us in a room really fast. I walked into the first that the front desk give us and it wasn't cleaned yet by housekeeping. Went to the front desk and they said sorry and give us a 2nd room. We liked the very cleaned room. The kitchen and refrigerator are nice. The pool area is very clean. Hot tub was closed it had yellow caution tape over it. I will come back.

Edited to 4/5 instead of 3/5 as they do offer few laundry services which is a huge bonus. Only reason it isn't 5 stars is because we specifically reserved a smoking room only to drive 500 miles to get here and find out that even though we asked 5 times in the reservation process if it was a smoking room, they had us reserved for a non smoking and had set it as our preferred room for future stays. It is clean here and comfortable so I guess I'm still somewhat happy. Would be better if I didn't have to freeze to smoke.

The Candlewood is a good, basic hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. This hotel is close yo shopping. Proving is reasonable. Having to rooms is convenient when traveling with family.
The one in the room I had was a pull out but not sure if all rooms have pull out couches. Your best bet would be to call them just to make sure.
