Dr. Darby saved my son's life! While he may not have the best bedside manner, he more than makes up for that in his diagnosis, experience, knowledge. I have been consistently managing my child's mental health from age 10 to now 18 years old. My son came to see Dr. Darby when he was 15 and he had his meds balanced within 3 months. A lifetime of trying to get there and Dr. Darby knew exactly what he needed. He gave me my son back.

Dr. Darby is a fantastic psychiatrist. Those who say he’s not are obviously mistaking him for a psychologist or expecting him to accept their excuses for their behavior. He is very direct, which we love, and holds patients accountable. We have been taking our son to Dr. Darby since August. He was able to diagnose him properly, and treat him correctly. My son absolutely hated Dr. Darby the first time we went to see him. That was perfectly fine with me, because my son was in the wrong, and Dr. Darby held him 100% responsible for his behavior. After that first appointment, my son has come around, and truly enjoys seeing Dr. Darby now.

i would never recommend this guy to ANYONE. On a few occasions I called him about my meds and he literally SCREAMED at me over the phone. I had to remind him he is a psychiatrist in the mental health field. I often asked him if this is how he treated his other patients. From my experience he has no respect for people and treats people as just a number. He has NO sympathy for people in the mental health. BEWARE
