I was walking home late this past evening after missing the correct stop on the bus; as the announcement didn't take for some reason. (I was also contemplating some things with shut eyes.) the bus driver let me off in downtown Bothell, and I'd been on either sidewalk on route 522 when hearing some disturbing events on both sides in the almost 1.5 to 2 miles I'd walked. I decided to climb up into the center onto the platform where I was able to see vehicles and safe to walk above the ground. As I approached the street, and was making a decision on where and when to cross safely, Officer (Sean, Shawn?) Peckham was driving towards town and slowed down upon me signaling behest, we discussed the issue I was having. He was kind enough to give me a ride safe to return on the normal route I take home, a short trip down the road. I'd like to take the opportunity here to state how helpful it is to experience this willfulness of good from Police. Not all take the job seriously enough to respect it, or respect people in general. It was profoundly late, and I was out past bedtime; not typical but has occurred a few times in life...and he didn't take advantage of or abuse the power of authority on any level. I only know one or two other CS like that.

Harassed me and shoved me around and accused me of stealling hand lotion from a local house for no reason. I did nothing wrong or illegal. 2 hours i spent being threatened and interogated for no reason...

Yesterday about 11am at the Fred Meyers on Thrashers Corner my husband and I pulled in to do some shopping. As soon as i parked a Bothell police cruiser passed behind my car. I paid no attention to it and continued getting ready to head in and checked my list and debit card balance. It takes me a while to do things considering im 37wks pregnant. As im exiting the car the patrol man is walking up with his hand on his gun. He asks what are we doing and eyeing myself, my car and my husband. I asked if we did something wrong? He explained there is people doing drugs in cars at this location. I felt so embarrassed, ashamed and disrespected that because i dont drive a "nice car" and it takes me a while (physically to do stuff) we must be drug users. This assumption of who i am ruined my shopping experience ( we will never be back), ruined my day and made me cry afterward. I could understand if we were in the car for 20mins ect but we werent. And to have someone be so aggressive and judgemental towards us was hurtful and we will never forget this experience.

Don't bother calling them for help. Even if they acknowledge that your neighbor is repeatedly breaking the law, you will be treated like garbage just for wanting some help in resolving the issue. I was basically told that even though my neighbor was repeatedly harassing our pet dogs and breaking the law, I should not have called them. I was told that I should take the law into my own hands. So sorry I did the right thing and called you, so sorry it was such an inconvenience to you that you actually had to do your job and enforce the law. I was told straight up that I was the bad guy because my neighbor was blatantly breaking the law. I am the bad guy. The victim is the bad guy, not the person breaking the law who is causing harm to the neighborhood. Shame on you Bothell PD...
