I was told I was too unstable for therapy after recalling one of the worst moments of my life. Tried to have a discussion about futility, was recommended medication for nightmares. Told counselor I had a panic attack that put me on the floor. She recommended progressive relaxation. I'll flex my toes next time I can't breathe and my drool is puddling in the dirt, thanks. 0 out of 10 I hope you have better luck, friend.

I was seeing a student doc here for med management for almost one year. My prescription had 3 refills, I used them then found that I was kicked off their list for not coming in monthly. I was not aware that I needed to do that, especially since we had a good handle on my prescription, and it was a non narcotic, regular antidepressant. I had to go cold turkey off my meds, scramble to find a new doctor. It was not a good experience.

I would like to start by saying that I've been seeing Truc for about a year, and I give Truc five stars. He is a kind, caring, thoughtful, and insightful provider who has the patience of a saint. I give the remainder of my experience at this clinic two stars at best. 1. I was set up to see Dr. Nemuth. I had my first and second visit with Dr. Nemuth. I came in for my 3rd visit to be informed by the front office that I was no longer a patient of Dr. Nemuth's but they had transferred me to Dr. Lee (?). There was no prior notice, no phone call, no email, nada. I showed up expecting to see Dr. Nemuth and was forced into an appointment with a provider that I did not choose. Last month I was suffering from some symptoms that I thought had been caused by a medication change from a previous visit with Truc. I emailed the office because I could not find an email for Truc specifically. I was emailed in return and told that I would need to make and appointment. When I called to say that I had a question for my provider, I was quite brusquely informed that if I needed to speak with my provider, I would have to make an appointment as I hadn't seen him in 5 weeks. They did not care that the question was in relation to my previous visit. I felt very much as though I was being blackmailed into an appointment. I eventually had one of the front office staff get a message to Truc that I had a question for him. All of this took an entire week to resolve, and at the end, I was treated as though I was ripping off the clinic by speaking with my provider without an appointment. I felt so disappointed, so hurt, so embarassed by this experience, that I contacted the company owner, Dr. Mustafa to let him know how awful his front office staff has treated me. My phone calls and messages have been ignored. They do not care that I had a genuine concern, only that I continue to spend my money in the clinic. I stay because I have formed a positive and helpful relationship with my provider, but if he moves on, so will I.

So I get vital medications here for my mental health. I started running low, and called and left a message for a refill. No response. I had my pharmacy call them request a refill. No response. I called and spoke again to a reception with a eastern European accent to get a refill. She said I would have to see the Dr. before I could get them. I explained I just got a new job and am currently working nights and at this moment could not schedule one, but really needed those refills(keep in mind these are Lexapro and Lithium medications and are not narcotics or dangerous)in order to function. She said all she could do was transfer me to his voicemail and have me leave a message, which I did. No response. I go to my pharmacy to see if they had been called in and I could pick them up. The Pharmacy says they have not received anything and would call them again. Later I get a call from a receptionist at the Dr.'s office to tell me they didn't refill my prescription because I needed to see the Dr. 1st. Again I explained I am currently in a new job transition and would not be able to see him at this very moment, but it is crucial I get my refills. I explained that I already left a voicemail on Dr. Mustafa's voicemail a couple of days ago explaining this. The reception tells me he hasn't replied because he is currently on vacation and will not be back until Monday and nothing can be done until then. It's been over 2 days since I ran out and I am losing my mind. The incompetence of this practice is beyond belief and it is literally hurting my mental health and my abilities to make rational decisions.

There are a mix of psychiatrists and psychologists. Their backgrounds and specialties vary. I recommend asking them who's available and discuss the best match for you. You can always switch doctors if you have trouble trusting the first.
