Meet and greet is NOT to pick up your new pet, it's to Biasly judge you and your children!! If there are 10 approved apps, YOUR CHILD has a 90% chance of NOT receiving that puppy --,she just fell Madly in LOVE WITH !!!!!!!!!

Watsted my girlfriends time and rejected us because other applicants applied. Feel bad for the dogs that are held for weeks until everyone bothers to see it. Never adopt from here and I hope the poor babies being mistreated get their own freedom

Excellent place to get a fury gift for an associate.

Yes they take donations
We are an open admission shelter - which means we have to take in any animal from Johnson County. Sometimes we have animals surrendered here that have attacked and mauled children, due to liability issues we cannot in good faith or with the public safety in mind allow that animal to leave the shelter. Other times we've had people surrender their pets who are suffering from a terminal illness and are in extreme pain. In both cases I just cited, we would humanely euthanize those animals. But, we haven't put an animal down for space in over 9 years (we receive in over 1700 dogs, cats, sheep, goats, birds, pigs, horses etc. a year!). I do hope this helps. BTW - we've had no kill shelters contact us and ask us if we would be willing to euthanize a dog or cat they had in their facility - we always politely decline.
I believe 16
I'm uncertain as to whether or not the shelters help with milk replacement/supplements
You can be a walk-in, once u get there...u call them and they will come to your vehicle. You don't go inside. They have a sign out front.
Im pretty sure the cost if the chip is figuered in to the cost to adopt
Call the johnson county animal control! Thank you for your concern!
I believe that means that as of today it is able to be adopted.
Yes, its clean, they are kind and they place the vast majority of animals either through adoption or rescues.
You have to go up to the shelter fill out a volunteer app and then they will talk to you.
I was told by hsjc that they are doing free adoptions. Not sure how long it will last
No it isn't I used to work there
Hi, Thank you for wanting to get your dog spayed! We don't do any surgeries here, but we have tremendous Vet's in Johnson County and any one of them would be happy to help you! Good luck!
