As a former employee I can tell you the absolute only pro to working at The Lodge is the residents! Well also there was a handful of co-workers that were amazing as well. Management is horrendous! Clicked up gossipers. When I started there my boss in housekeeping was the most useless person ever. Nice, but she just wanted to hang out. Never helped, never addressed issues that were brought to her attention, hung out in her BFF's office most of the day, and was just overall inconsistent. In addition to that she would overwork us without offering a hand, even when we were down two housekeepers, and then alter our hours when we had no time to take a lunch and I was, in no uncertain terms, told if I had to work overtime I would not get paid for it. So at the end of the day if I wasn't done I had to clock out and continue working. When I brought this to the attention of upper management (at the time was David Johns, who was very supportive and helpful) she was finally demoted to being a housekeeper, but then we got a new ED and she soon ended up with the cushy position of "the utility person", so she was basically allowed to do nothing and get paid for it. Still hanging out in her BFF's office. In my time at The Lodge the housekeeping department was understaffed more than it was full staffed but we were never offered alternatives or help. The new housekeeping supervisor is great and made sure we had all the products and tools we needed. The former supervisor would not and most of us would buy our own products and tools. I miss the residents desperately but am very happy to not be working there anymore.

I feel like I need to let people know what has happened recently to my mother who has lived at the lodge for four years now. I don’t know who the lodge is hiring now, anyone. Just this week my mother went to the hospital . The er doctor said she had a insulin overdose. Also , while she was at the hospital someone broke into her apartment and stole money . We have filed a police report.I have also spoke to the director at the lodge . She says she is in the process of getting camera’s installed in the hallways . I hope so . I feel more needs to be done to protect the residents. We feel not safe and violated now.

This is a wonderful facility with very caring and helpful staff. Its very unfortunate that they had to endure some extremely mentally damaged family members of a particular resident, who caused amazingly irresponsible scenes and disturbances to other residences where police where contacted and the individuals were removed. We will miss the staff that were very helpful in organizing her departure to her new sunny happy healthy life and much needed safe enviroment from family who's only goal and interest is this poor womans money. If they read this message, on the day she departs this earth NATURALLY, you will be contacted and receive your portion of your inheritance. Until then, the money she has will go toward her care. Please disregard any low ratings from a person stating their grandmother was mistreated and lost 30 pounds as this would be FALSE information.

Management sucks, specifically alesha hines and David John's, they are blatantly rude and unprofessional, alesha being the reason I quit. Her attitude towards me in front of coworkers was absolutely unacceptable. She is disrespectful, unprofessional, and extremely unqualified for the wellness coordinator position. They have no regard for the residents and only care about the money they provide. I do not recommend the lodge to anyones loved one. They accept everyone and anyone to move in just so they have a heftier income

Most utilities including electricity, water & sewer are covered in the base rate. Personal telephone needs to be purchased separately by the resident.

I am not sure of the assisted living part. I was looking at the memory care. The rooms start about $6500 and add on for services. The staff is great and very helpful. Good luck.
