Amazing architecture to walk around the area and was quiet. There is a plenty of parking after regular hours (past 5pm). There is a lot to explore especially as a tourist.

Had not been here in a while, stopped by while coming through area and went on self guided tour. Pamphlets made it easy to get around and check out all the historical and significant pieces and places. Got lucky with the summer weather and it was a great site outside viewing it on the walk around. Check out the basement gift shop for a bunch of cool Washington State stuff.

Excellent place to admire history! 🏛️ I love seeing the architecture of the Capitol building and the blooming flowers of the grounds, which are well landscaped and maintained. 🌸

Most states with an income tax have auch lower sales tax. I think Kansas was 5%.
It's usually open till 4:30 pm but not sure since the virus arrived.
There are multiple place to park. On cherry lane or on sid sunder Ave. At the visitor center. On the weekend it is free.
I used one successfully a few months ago. Did you turn your car off?
Yes there are free guided tours every hour on the hour
Don't think so.. Have not seen any pets around.
