This is my (new owner ar15) review, great people did not look down on me for not knowing my own gun(AR15). The gentleman at the front counter were great to ask questions and they give you more information than what you would expect. Specially CHRIS, was more than willing to help actually my firing pin broke and he gave me his spare and did not even ask for me to pay, just gave it to me so I can shoot. NOW THATS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

The staff up front are hot and miss, some are very knowledgeable while others seem annoyed that they must serve you. They do have an easy registration process, offer gun rentals, and their range masters have been friendly and alert, really to notch.

Great staff, amazing range, great gun rental selection, great prices. Only reason 4 star is because 2 guns I wanted weren't available due to maintenence. Overall, one of the best ranges I've been too.

This review is long and as detailed as I could remember so just jump to the bottom for a brief summary of my review. After reading some of the harsher reviews I decided the previous ones were a little opinion based and gave this firing range a shot and I was thoroughly impressed. Upon entering the establishment you are greeted and taken care of by the staff, sure they could kind of come off as rude but in reality they are the opposite. The security and safety of the staff and the customers are vital when it comes to running a firing range, so the “rudeness” is actually the staff being cautious, safe, and straight to the point. I would also like to stress that one of the staff members even helped me and my wife out with some good recommendations for our starting firearm rental of the day. The registration process with newcomers to the range is very straightforward and efficient as well. The staff are all about gun safety and stress the importance of the safe handling of firearms repeatedly. The prices of renting a lane, renting firearms, and buying your own eye/ear protection are all fair and not overpriced. The protection that you could buy at the range vary from cheapest to most expensive depending on the quality you want or budget. The staff here are not the kind of people to look down on you if you don’t know how certain things work so DO NOT HESITATE TO ASK QUESTIONS. Personally, there were some firearms I didn’t know how to operate and upon asking the staff how each firearm worked they gladly showed me how they worked and made sure I knew before I entered the range. My wife and I stayed until closing just shooting as many guns as we were interested in and when we were leaving I forgot I had a box of ammunition left, one of the staff members noticed and (keep in mind they were 5 minutes from closing) said, “You got a box left? Someone get this man an AK.” and let me shoot the rounds before leaving. To sum up my experience here, the staff are very well knowledgeable and nice in their own ways, they DO NOT PLAY ABOUT GUN SAFETY, and are very well accommodating. Both my wife and I felt safe while shooting, had fun, are already planning our next trip down there to shoot some more. Highly recommend this range for newcomers and experienced shooters alike.

Handguns: bring in firearm, in case, unloaded. You may bring your own ammo. Pay for range and walk in to handgun side then load firearms and shoot at either targets you bring or buy there. Rifles: very similar procedure but you MAY NOT bring your own ammo. You must buy there's for safety and insurance concerns. They allow up to 7.62 in the rifle range, you may also bring hand guns in the rifle range but not vice versa.
The maximum distance of both ranges is 75ft or 25yards.
They have been open the whole time. Just wear a mask when you enter, and when you get to the actual range, you dont have to wear it.
Depends on how much you want to shoot. It's like 16.50 for the first person per lane. I think 11 for the second. Discount if military or law enforcement. 30 bucks gets you access to all rentals except a few deluxe guns (e.g. Thompson). If they're busy you may pay more, the lane may be charged hourly I think. Don't quote me on that. Targets range in price from 1.50 to 3.00. After that, the main cost is all in ammo if you bring your own eye and ear protection. Ammo adds up quick. If you bring your own gun, you can bring your own ammo. If you use any of theirs, you have to use their ammo. That's where the most expense comes in. Hope that helps.
With rifles they make you use their ammo, so you have to shoot what they have available which is only 1 ot 2 options for each caliber.
I do not believe so.
No but Thursday is womans night/military appreciation days 1/2 off womans 3 dallor discount military
Yes
If it's your first time there, you have some paperwork to fill out, and a 9min video. Pay and you're good to go. Only takes about 15 mins. You only have to do it once. After that it's quite quick, unless you're waiting for a rifle lane to open on a weekend.
30-06 is too hot for the range. If you check the website there is a list of allowed calibers under the "Permitted Calibers" tab.
I do believe so just show them VA id card or proof of service.
We don't do memberships, just hourly rates. The only requirement is you watch a safety video and fill out some paperwork your first visit.
Yes, range ammo must be purchased for rental guns or most rifles in general. This is due to insurance reasons, nothing we can do about it. We generally have most ammo available and at reasonable prices for people using the range.
No. Unfortunately because the range is an FFL they would legally have to have you transfer the firearm to them in order for this to work. It would be an (expensive) hassle. Plus you would then technically have signed away your firearm...
Most of the stalls are wide enough you can fit a wheelchair. I've seen this happen in there a few times. Range staff is very accommodating. I would suggest however that you go at a less busy time (like midweek) so you don't have to fight the crowds.
Yes, You have to be in the rifle side to shoot both.
Good range, nice staff
Yes, you can shoot rifles on our range up to 7.62x39mm in size and power. Ammunition for rifles must be purchased at our range.
I forgot but it wasn't very expensive.
18 and over for rifles. 21 and over for pistols.
😑 No, this is a indoor firearm range.
Yes they are. Along with .556 and a few others. However you must purchase their ammo. Prices are not overpriced. This is due to military personnel bringing in tracer and armor piercing rounds which bounce and damage the back stop.
Valid ID and time to watch safety video and sign Liability waivers. Initial check in for first time is always longer. Once in system the next visits are quick check ins.
They have cheap 5.56/.223 for $7.99 a box of 20 rds.
Nothing greedy about it. Idiots were bringing in armor piercing ammo which ricochets around. It makes it easier for them to manage. There isn't some crazy markup. Be happy you can shoot AR. Not many places allow it.
