Bad experience with Alantic Spine NYC. Initially I had a phone MRI revew/consultation with Dr. Liu. During that conversation he convinced me to come in and to see him in person to discuss my options. Upon my arrival I found out that I was scheduled to see another doctor (Dr. Arora). Dr. Arora suggested to start with epidural shots and go from there. After numerous conversations with patient advocate managers my apppt was scheduled for their NJ center. They also promised to arrange for transportation from to and from the center. The day before the procedure I found out that they are unable to keep my appnt and I will need to reschedule. I had to cancel the procedure and find another provider. Waste of time an poor patient/customer service.

I don't write bad reviews often but stay very far away. You have been warned! Was assured by multiple members of staff via phone and in person that this facility was in network for my insurance (blue cross blue shield) when I visited. Doctor did not give me any new insight into my condition. Later I received a bill an entire year later for out of network charges. Attempted to dispute the bill. Attempted to call finance/billing department multiple times and constantly redirected. Ended up mailing them a letter informing them of my dispute, however I received another letter a month later with the same bill. Apparently they never received my letter. In addition, the members from the finance/billing department are just plain rude.

My experience with the Atlantic spine center has been less than stellar. I wanted to have my lower back pain checked out. At first, the patient advocate manager called me and was super keen to sign me on as a new patient but he would call me at inappropriate times and not give me a heads up before calling and I mentioned this to him and he still would call me without giving me a heads up. He called me every day till he signed me as a new patient and then didn’t answer my follow up questions. I spoke with a doctor and then I requested for next steps. It sounded like the staff are confused and my questions were never answered and I was provided no next steps that I’ve requested multiple times. I’m supposed to have either MRI or physical therapy done before my next visit, none of which I wasn’t provided any next steps to do. I contacted the patient advocate manager and he hasn’t replied to my questions. The impression he left on me was that it seemed that he gets a commission for every new patient he brings in and then doesn’t need to help that person after that. Till he got me to sign the new patient form and provide him the my insurance details, he would cold call me even when I said to him I need a heads up. I see a huge red flag due to the lack of communication. I would not recommend and will look for alternate options to consult for my lower back pain.

I reached out to Atlantic Spine center after suffering from a stiff back along with weak legs. I had problems walking more than 150 feet without having to sit to relax. Walking up stairs was impossible without having to pull myself up by the handrails. My back would stiffen when standing too long, climbing stairs or walking distances. The staff was very pleasant and patient and doctor Liu was very attentive to my explanation of symptoms. They spoke with great confidence and had given me extreme confidence in their abilities. I followed all directions given to me and had surgery on my L5 S1 area. I wasn't nervous going into surgery as the facility is very welcoming and the staff very professional. I'm very happy with the results and after 2 weeks of having the surgery my legs are regaining strength and I'm able to walk longer distances with confidence. My back is still in the healing process but it's not as stiff as it was before surgery. I haven't experienced any pain and I believe everything went perfectly as planned. I'm looking forward to my healing process and I would highly recommend Atlantic Spine Center for anyone that's suffering from any form of back problems that may require surgery. This may be a little long but their is so much to say, I'm going to leave it right here but last but not least. DR LIU is the best and I would trust him and his staff with any family member if they are in need of their assistance.

That catches up to the neck spine specialist if you need surgery then let you know and then the day of the surgery that provide you the own car service and bring you to their special outpatient hospital they're very professional and very good people any questions you have just don't hesitate to ask the doctor so I asked you to nurses taking care of the paperwork at the outpatient hospital I hope this was helpful...
