Thank you Dr Hughes! I had back surgery approximately 3 years ago. At the time I could hardly walk and had intermittent periods of not being able to stand. Dr Hughes performed major surgery on my back and I am happy to say that I am pain free and able to get around. This surgery was a life changer and saved me from spending my future in a wheel chair. Not sure if I recall his bedside manner or how much time he spent with me, but if you are interested in great results he is the doctor to see.

After suffering from back pain for years and trying every other alternative, my husband went to Dr. Hughes. The challenge with back pain, that you cannot understand until you’ve experienced it yourself, is it takes over your life. It is constant and cruel and can make both the patient and their caregiver grumpy. It’s also so complex. A procedure that brings one person total relief, could be a failure for someone else. So I think this is why there are mixed reviews about Dr. Hughes and they are not a true reflection of his skill. I would agree that it is difficult to get Dr. Hughes on the phone, but that is because he is seeing patients, both in the office and for surgery. Each time we called with a medical concern, we got a prompt call back from one of his PAs. Each time we visited his office, we were seen promptly by his staff. They were always warm and friendly and Dr. Hughes was always patient with the countless questions we asked. I think it’s also really important to note that Dr. Hughes did not pressure us into surgery. He gave us the options and possible outcomes. My husband’s surgery has provided him, most importantly, with pain relief and we can’t thank Dr. Hughes and his staff enough for that.

Wonderful doctor, explained all aspects of the surgery. My back has not given me any problems since. I've been pain free since 2018. Thank you Dr. Hughes.

Best Doctor/Hospital experience ever. Dr Hughes didn’t rush to operate, when he did it went perfectly. The hospital is clean , the nurses are terrific. Only high marks. .

Don't waste your time with this doctor, may not help you. He's bad reviews. Contact Frank Cammisa in same office, he's top doctor in NYC.
