Let me start and say I am not an employee of Old Surety but I can answer this question as I am a Medicare provider myself and understand how Medicare works. So, we doctors do not have to "approve" to take supplement plans, we just have to take Medicare. ALL supplement plans have to be approved by Medicare and once they are, then they can say they are a supplement plan and will pay the doc directly. You don't need to ask if they take Old Surety, just does the doc accept Medicare then Old Surety is automatically approved. The main thing you need to do is be sure your doc takes your Medicare plan which should be Medicare Part A or B. Some hardheaded docs may require you to pay them directly for Old Surety's part but then Old Surety should pay you back. I have never met one that requires that but it is an option under Medicare, but don't sweat it.
