This place does not know how to deal with black people or their hair. I literally had to request the one black employee that they had and even then they treated me like I was the big wolf and let their biases do the work for them rather then just treat me with kindness like I wanted them do for everyone else and then made rude disrespectful comments regarding my natural hair. An Asian and white worker (both men) and one even tried touching my hair and this employee had absolutely nothing to do with my case. Please teach your employees better we deserve the exact same care as anyone else. We pay money just like the rest, this was very despicable. I know that your biases will say that I was likely being loud and unruly (I know how most operate here) but this was not the case and I shouldn’t have to say that in order to be believed or treated with basic kindness as a patient. Please save your time and look for better options where you be treated with respect. I was not and will never forget it.

The people we're great. You will get screened for covid card ect. It's all on there website. A warning about parking you pay in the Lobby and you can't get good reception in the garage so try to see which way to turn when you exit before you get there. The spots are very small and disabled parking is so so.

Dr. Watson, the nursing staff, and the assistants consistently listen, do everything in their power to help, and have always shown they care about me as a person, not just another number. The quality of my life significantly improved through their care and they all have my sincere gratitude.

It takes months to schedule appointments and providers repeatedly change their availability, sometimes leading to a delay of another few months. Trying to call to speak to someone about scheduling can be difficult, as you first have to talk to someone at the general Harborview call center, and they often can't get anyone on the phone at the sleep clinic. Sleep apnea is serious and can lead to many cascading health problems, not to mention impairing work productivity, impacting social life, etc. I understand that this clinic is busy, but I don't understand how it can take months and months even to get a diagnosis. At the very least, they should make it easier to talk to someone on the phone who knows what is going on and can be helpful.

I am trying to get a CPAP cleaning system/unit but do not know if there is a supplier I should be going through. I am retired and have coverage through Premera Medicare. I utilize e-care as well. Thanks!

I do not recommend a so clean as they can void the warranty on your device. Soap and water are just fine. The cpap sanitizers are NOT a covered item through insurance anyway

What is the procedure for a sleep study, starting with a referral? How many visits?

Karen Lewis | Aug 13, 2022
Misa Winters | Aug 14, 2022

Up to four visits I think. You have the initial visit from the referral where they get background, then you do the sleep study either at a facility or with a device at home. If you present as needing a CPAP device then you have another visit to get fitted and take home the device. Then you have a 6-8 week follow up.
