Stop feeding them and they will crop the algae down to carpet but will not make it go away all together if you are talking about algae growing on the walls.
We open for the 2021 season on March 27th. You cam find our full hours here https://hanoverkoifarms.com/contact/
Hi, no we do not. We do not bring in fish from any foreign sources for biosecurity reasons. Thx HKF
We do sell plants, but no snails or thermometers. We also sell many other fish and pond supplies and can get most anything. This is our online store but we sell much more then just what is online. https://hanoverkoifarms.com/shop-koi/ Thx Hanover Koi Farms
Our fish start at $19.99. The website has all the details and prices www.hanoverkoifarms.com. We have more fish than your little beak can carry home. BTW you say an hour away? Is that drive time or as the parakeet flies LOL. You will be overwhelmed by the selection of Koi I can assure you.
If your new/source water has chlorine you need to use a dechlorinator. We use and sell Ultimate Water conditioner which is an ammonia binder as well as a dechlorinator. You use the same dose for ammonia binding as you do for neutralizing chlorine. PLEASE NOTE. The new water HAS TO BE DECHLORINATED BEFORE YOU ADD TO POND OR TANK You need to read this article; https://hanoverkoifarms.com/water-changes-additions/. In the future please do not post questions here on Google. Instead use email to sales @hanoverkoifarms.com
You have my sympathy for your loss. We went through the same thing two summers ago and it hurts. We love our fish. A pet is a pet, fur or fin. Our issue was extreme heat and a blown breaker resulting in oxygen deprivation. We had a seperate electric line run that supports our pond only. We also installed 2 aerators that run off electric and a solar aerator. The folks at Hanover Koi are the best for helping you get to the bottom of what caused your loss. Again, my condolences on your loss.
You won't be disappointed. Check out their website, you'll find a selection of top of the line koi. They do ship.
Hi...They most likely will not eat the eggs or the tadpoles, but you should test your water for ammonia and nitrite spikes from the eggs and eventually the hatching of the toads. Thx HKF
