It is a hidden gem in Granite Falls that needs more marketing promotion. It is located few minutes away from downtown and has easy access from the road. The trail is well maintained and not crowded.

Short hike down to the water. Nice view of the water and the falls. Only negatives are limited parking and the fish ladder is covered with large metal grates. You have to walk on the metal grates to get a good view of the river. We brought our dog along. She enjoyed walking the trail down to the river but I could tell she didn’t enjoy walking on the metal grates.

Great place to Explore on a date or with the family. Notive I emphasized explore. I wouldn't come here looming for the greatest hikes. I can with a date as almost everyone here. Parking is relatively easy and so is finding the place. A lot of hikes and natural park areas are almost impossible to park at during the weekends but today was a since. I was able to get nice photos of the water fall and even fun videos traversing the rock terrain by the river side. I'll be back. With picnic snacks next time.

The Washington State fishing regulations guide book will tell you how many feet away from objects such as fish ladders, dams, Etc you must be to fish. Also, generally fish and wildlife department will come out and post signs when there is temporary restrictions or other information fisherman must know.

It's not really a hike, it's not even a mile if you go down the hill (maybe .5mi). But you can take the stairs, which obviously is shorter despite being quite a few stairs. When you go down the steps off the road, you can take a left and shortly after there will be stairs on your right.
