There is a terrible service here, I guess the chief does not know about the service provided here,
They asked me to show an identity card in order to receive the waiting new Blue ID card. I said, "Can you not see that I am myself on the ID card you will give me? They said, "We can't see the ID inside the sealed envelope. Anyway, I showed the American driver's license and they gave me one of the two envelopes, would you believe, the one in the ID card?" it was cut from the top of it, so the lousy officers here wanted me to show another identity card so that I could get the identity card given by the state. It's unbelievable, are you kidding. There is a female officer standing there, around 40-50 years old, with glasses, she is so sullen and unpleasant, she does not suit this place.

I was on the phone for almost one hour and listening to some Turkish music maybe and after calling 3 times finally I got someone answered the phone her name was Tofan and before I say anything she start talking and saying I called the wrong place and she can’t help me so rude and un professional she didn’t even listen to me and hang up the phone which I waste my all day waiting for it such a bad experience I ever saw for an embassy they should represent their country in a good way but these people working there they just give u a bad image of the whole country regret my calling to this place.

For U.S. passports you can get your visa at the airport in Istanbul , I thinking it costs 45 dollars a person. They usually stamp it for 3 month stay. I hope this helps

I will recommend calling the passport police at the Istanbul Airport to get the most updated information. I flew through Istanbul and thought I could qualify for visa on arrival. I was advised there has been changes in the past one month. I assume it has to do with the world cup. My native country Ghana is considered a fraudulent country ( as told by Turkish Passport Police ) so my US resident didn't matter. The Embassy in DC seems abit confused with the changes as well. Best to call the passport police at the Istanbul Airport. They have a list they look at.

You can take Pfizer or morderna vaccine and give yourself enough time for the 2nd shot. However, the test doesn't matter, long as your results are negative.

You do not need to go to turkish embassy to get a visa. You can go online before your visit and get a visa so that less time spent at the airport when you arrive. ( Evisa.gov.tr is the official site).

You don't obtain edevlet şifresi for a house. It is specific to a person and used for all sort of things related to your business with the government. You can apply to embassy with your Turkish passport or ID card.
