Moved cross-country and rented a storage unit here because Uhaul offered the first month free with the rental of a truck. Got here, they canceled my reservation, made a new reservation, claimed they never heard of such a promotion, then charged me for my first month's rent and the second month within two weeks because I had allegedly reserved the unit as soon as I rented the truck - even though none of my stuff was here. Don't rent here. It's a skeezy area anyway. If you don't need climate control, rent at Golden Target or Extra Space.

Honestly I am leaving a bad review because of the San Mateo location but I feel like this location enables the San Mateo location to be terrible. To make it short the San Mateo location screwed me over and lied to me. This location was supposed to be the fix but the trailer I rented had bald tires so on my commute I had to pull over in the rain because the trailer started to hydroplane and pull my car. So they don't care about safety either.

The folks that work here are super nice and I have no complaints with them. My storage unit has been broken into twice in the last three weeks. Stuff stolen, broken and huge messes made. No camera pointed at the units to monitor for break ins. No security fence. I will never use a storage unit again that is in an unsecured area. Locks are easy to break and the metal the walls are made out of apparently is easy to cut through. Very sad about my experience.
