The receptionist let two elderly people struggle for 15 minutes and then my sick boyfriend had to help them just so we could check in to be seen. The receptionist was sitting around gossiping instead of helping these poor people. Everyone was rude and not helpful.

Receptionist was very unpleasant not sure why she came to work today a couple with a infant waited for a hour they step into the hallway and the receptionist called the parents and told them they were ready to be seen when they came back to the waiting room the receptionist was no where to be found they continued to wait. Then left .receptionist told co worker she didn't know where they were ! When she called them to tell them to come back In to be seen!!!!! She had a terrible attitude and got rude with other patients I left after waiting 40 mins when I checked in online first...

When presenting at registration, I was told I could not use my insurance because they are non-participating (Florida Blue Select), even though their own website indicated that national Blue plans are indeed accepted. I then called my insurance company and Wellspan was the first provider they mentioned. The insurance agent offered to confirm with the registrar, but the registrar declined and reaffirmed that they can only go by the information in their own system. I asked if there is someone to whom we could escalate the issue so that I could be seen and she again declined and said that policies prevent them from doing anything else to get me registered with my insurance. She was helpful in sending me 11 miles away to UPMC Urgent Care in New Oxford. Clearly, something needs to change in the way Wellspan manages their systems and employees so that patients that are appropriately.insured can seek treatment.
