I've used their competitors, but JK Movers customer service, from the mangers, sales team to the movers, is above all others. A dedicated person is assigned to your account and s/he stays with your account until your move is complete. I would definitely use them again.

WARNING! Do not hire these people. I thought I did research enough to hire JK for my move from Austin to Oakland. They market themselves as a attentive mover that goes to great lengths to take care of you throughout the process and also the movers will take care of your personal belongings. #1 Bad service from the start. They don't have a live person on the phone with you when they ask you to video your belongings. So, you are left to record the items and submit without being able to explain anything or ask a question. Other companies will have a live person with you as you record with your mobile device. #2. Be careful b/c their fine print states a minimum weight they will charge you for even if your weight is considerably less. I did notice this upfront and told them I wasn't going to reach their minimum weight and so after going back and forth with at least 3 different sales people they agreed to lower my minimum weight. #3 deceiving way they estimate. They tell you estimate is based on the weight and mileage of the move. BUT, THEY WON'T BREAK DOWN THOSE COSTS. So, when they lowered my minimum weight, I wanted to know the savings. And b/c you can't get in touch with their people for days -- playing phone tag, by the time your move date comes, you have no other choices to go with another moving company. #4 The day prior to delivery when I had to ask for my updated invoice for the move, they informed me they made an error on the estimate by estimating from the wrong staring zip code. It's true they did, but instead of charging me from the zip code they made the MISTAKE of using, they told me I had no choice but to pay the NEW AND HIGHER AMOUNT based on my correct Zipcode. When I said that mistake was theirs and should not be passed on to me as the customer, they threatened to put my belongings into storage until I paid. I had no choice and they refused to accept their mistake. What happened to customer service? So much for paying a premium rate!

JK Moving handled our move efficiently and took great care of our furniture and other belongings. From the beginning, with a consultation with Natalie Harris and a video recording of all our items, Natalie and all employees were very professional and insured our move went smoothly and on time. The movers in Virginia worked as an efficient team and painstakingly wrapped and secured all items, including some old and fragile antiques. They took great care with all these items. In Ohio, the crew which delivered our items had the challenging task of placing most furniture and boxes on a lower level, which took much effort and care. They were equally professional, careful, and efficient. All moves are difficult and cause anxiety, but JK Moving allowed our move to proceed seamlessly and successfully, which was a great relief to Pat and I. We would highly recommend JK Moving for anyone requiring an outstanding move experience! Pat and Joe Kane

I'm honestly jealous reading all of these 5 star reviews. We used JK Moving because our builder recommended it and contracted someone from JK to schedule the freight elevator at the new condo. Mind you this is a move 40-minute drive from one place to another. I've had a better experience moving from Georgia to Maryland using a different company. JK Moving lived up to its name and said "just kidding" to our move dates 3 times, so we had a total of 4 move dates. The last two dates they asked us to switch to were the least ideal, but we had to do what we can to move out of our apartment and into our new condo in a timely manner. The excuses they gave were bogus: [1] building rules says you can't move in on the weekend (these rules were not communicated to us in anyway until after I signed and paid the deposit for the Sunday move date), [2] the freight elevator is fully booked that day, and [3] the truck we had reserved for your move needs maintenance. You know what day we ended up moving in? A SATURDAY. But get this, the move crew also showed up three days before the actual final move date (no one was home because we no longer expected to be moving that day). It was the second date we had changed to but then freight elevator was supposedly unavailable to us. Coordinating with JK Moving's team was truly a logistical nightmare. I had to juggle with 3 different reps each perform a different job (quote rep, move coordinator, and freight coordinator). No one responded to me in a timely manner. Even internal communications between coordinator and crew was poor seeing how the coordinator changed our move dates but didn’t update the actual movers’ schedule for the week. When I provided my partner’s contact info for the final move date to the move coordinator, the crew STILL CALLED ME. Crew also called me when they showed up on the wrong date, and I had already provided the alternate contact info prior. I'll end this review with a little positivity, the one star this company deserves. The actual move crew (they sent us 2 men) were punctual and handled our belongings well. They padded the floors and doors and didn't damage the old or new property.

Ok from my experience JK Moving Services is the best at moving they'll prepare everything pack and load and get you to your destination as safe as possible you get your furniture wrapped and well secured...

Do they have temperature control long term storage

Yes they do but make sure you need it. Their regular storage is very secure under roof, etc.
