Good location, but if you’re renting anything but the top 4th floor, good luck with the noise above you. We rented a 3rd floor briefly, the sound was horrendous from running and jumping kids on floor above. They did move us to the 4th floor, but be warned. Carl asked me not to write a review, but it’s been a awhile now and he was let go.

I love living here! The management and leasing team (Maria, Bonnie, and Carl) is thorough, professional, and personable-a hard balance to strike these days but they do well :) The apartments are a good value price wise (I hope Essex keeps it this way) based on competition and the area being so convenient, great school system, gym, indoor/outdoor courts, and indoor pool. I truly feel at home here. I previously lived in the Issaquah Highlands and feel more at home here and part of a community. I love my neighbors in this community as well.

Pros: 1. Great management at present. 2. Awesome maintenance staff, work order gets resolved immediately. 3. Indoor swimming pool and basketball court. 4. Packages never get lost. 5. Good parking options. 6. Great appliances. 7. Small, but a good community hall for organizing small parties. 8. Lots of cabinets and storage. Cons: 1. Less natural light at some apartments, which keeps it very damp. 2. My apartment had horrible water clogging issue. 3. Layout could be quite congested, which could challenge walking space. 4. Rent keeps skyrocketing, with almost 10% increase every year. Overall a great place to stay. Newcastle is a beautiful little peaceful town.

I have live at Castle Creek for about five years. During my stay I have never experienced any of the bad reviews that are seen here. I’m not sure what some people expect from apartment living, and yes some are pretty bad, but Castle Creek has always kept the grounds clean and maintenance has been first rate. I lived in a two bed and a three bedroom at this complex and whenever I call for an issue that needed to be repaired they were there the next day to fix or replace the unit. I can say that the management when I first moved in wasn’t the greatest but not overly bad. A few years ago Debbie took over management and has done an awesome job and I could tell she knew what she was doing, she brought the place up a few more notches and the staff was always friendly. Some reviews complained of mold, but I have never experienced any, however I turn on the fan when taking a shower, that’s what there for! Parking like most apartment complexes can be difficult at times or at certain buildings because of the number of people that work from home in the tech industry. I have always rented top floor and thus you get a little more sound from the outside but it has never bothered me. People seem to keep to themselves pretty much and I have never seen or heard the “neighbors from hell” kind of thing. As for the apartment themselves, I really liked the layouts and the views are great from the top floor. I heard some people once in a while below or on the side but very rarely. Look it is also Newcastle, not much crime and I have never seen drug dealers that I can remember. If you give a review based upon the cost of utilities or that nature it’s not really reflective of the complex. The complex is run by Essex so I suspect it's going to have policies that the management can’t really over ride. Bottom line you have the stores and restaurants walking distance away clean complex, and for me it’s been a great stay.
