After moving out they attempted to charge us over $1000 in "carpet damage" despite our carpet being in fantastic condition for the 2 years we lived there, and it being used when we moved in. It took us months to finally not be charged this bogus fee, if you move here (I would strongly urge you to look elsewhere) TAKE PHOTOS! That is the only reason we were saved from paying this outrageous fee. Cherry on top is they claimed they would send our deposit back to us and of course that never happened so we are also just 500 dollars out of pocket there, I could care less about the 500 dollars though if it means I never have to deal with this "business" again. Other complaints beyond the bogus charges they attempted. - Trash everywhere, office doesn't seem to care. - We had a decaying rabbit corpse in front of our apartment for weeks, despite multiple contacts to the office no one seemed to care. - Walls/floors are paper thin. Our downstairs neighbor would blast music and you may as well of had the boombox in your own room. Neighbors would scream at 3am waking us up. - Awful maintenance staff, was great originally (the good ones left) last experience we had was them blasting music in the unit next to us while we were trying to WFH during the pandemic and when we asked them to turn it down were told "It isn't quiet hours". - Whenever we asked the office to handle something they would openly complain they were understaffed as if it was our problem. I feel for those being overworked but we were paying an outrageous price to live in mediocre conditions, least they could do is staff the place adequately. I could go on, this place made me wonder if I was going crazy and this is just how living in communal spaces are. Fortunately, I found that is not the case, we found a cheaper place 2 blocks away that is infinitely better. EDIT: Adding this on since they replied, we never received any form of repayment from this company. They "claimed" they sent us a check; it never arrived. I also don't care about the money; I'm just ensuring others know how awful an experience we had with this complex. I can't say I'm surprised that this team continues to lie.

Trying to tour the place has been difficult. No response to email, phone calls, and no one was there when I came for my booked appt... looks like a nice community but I'll never know.

first off, the maintenance guys are beyond rude and condescending. They will literally take WEEKS to repair anything. The lights in the parking lot are always turned off. Safety hazard. There’s rats everywhere. The gym is practically unavailable after the office closes (supposed to close at 10pm). Living here is a HIGE MISTAKE. If you value your money, look elsewhere. Oh yeah, they also send passive aggressive emails every now and then.

From the first phone call I made with Alderwood Park Apartments i knew it was going to be a great place to live. Kathleen and Yvette have been super friendly, accommodating, helpful and professional. They make a genuine effort to have real, meaningful connections with as many residents as they can, and that’s extremely refreshing compared to other property managements. They clearly are passionate about their jobs and they go above and beyond to meet residents needs. I’ve been in Washington 8 months and they made moving across country completely seamless, it was the easiest transition. Alderwood Park is quiet, convenient and cozy. Very happy to be living here!
