The worst post office I have ever experienced. If you are Asian, and new to the city, take all means to avoid the Asian woman who works there. She is extremely condescending, hostile, impatient and arrogant toward asians. She is lucky she works there, she would be fired easily if working for private company. Thanks to her incompetence I spent 2 hours to ship one package.

I renewed my passport a month ago and the return package was missing when embassy mailed it back to me. I was so worried because my trip was coming up and needed my passport. Fortunately, Mark, the USPS manager in 10019 local office, worked diligently to help me find the package! Many thanks to him!

Only commenting on the extended hours (open til 7pm on a Friday). Clutch. And a staff member letting me know that they were on their way to process package shipments as I was using the self service kiosks at 6:15pm. Basically making sure that my package started to make its way to the recipient and that I should hurry up (nicely haha). Thanks for the tiny bit of humaneness and emotional intelligence. The Latino guy that helps with the packages on April 1 2022 deserves a raise or promotion. Cheers.

Federal employees pretty much have "crisis of morale/work ethic" built into their job description.
Yes from 11-4pm daily. No appointment necessary.
Yes
They don't. No usps does.
No
Sign it and either give it to the mail carrier or you drop it off in the blue mail box.
Yes, 11am to 4pm
Go to post office. Lately, some nuisances have been "fishing" the mails out of the U.S. Postal boxes in NYC and NJ. 😒 Money orders, paychecks and rent money have been all "fished out" of the postal mailboxes all over NYC. So, if you were used to dropping off your envelopes in the blue mailboxes, stop doing that. Go to an actual U.S. Postal Office just to be safe.
