I have a Geek Squad account that includes service on my laptop. They advised that the malfunctioning keyboard could not be replaced without also doing the same with the perfectly fine motherboard because they claimed the parts are integrated. On top of that, GS charges $80 + parts + service to send the device to their central repair center for diagnosis and repair, if possible, which would take at least 3 weeks. Not. Instead, I dropped off the laptop and a replacement keyboard at A Plus and paid $50 rush charge in addition to their regular service fee. Keyboard replaced, no new motherboard required, all within 3 days. They saved me time and money and I have a functioning laptop once again. Thank you A Plus!

I have worked with them multiple occasions and it’s been always good experience, and 2 other times they put time and look at my computer (free diagnostic) and since I didn’t want to do the repair they didn’t even charge me. I hope their store stays open forever and get more and more customers. They really deserve it.

We do have a free diagnostic, so we'd be happy to take a look at it for you, but for a monitor stand, we would expect it to be more cost-effective to just replace rather than trying to repair. You're always welcome to bring it in for a price quote though!

Unfortunately because we upgraded you from an old version of Office to a new version, the list of recent documents may have been lost during the upgrade. Typically it should appear right as you open Word, or in File -> Open. However, you may be able to find your most recently accessed files in File Explorer -> Quick Access.
