Redmond Hill Apartments: Location is good however the women up front in the office or unprofessional. Emily their customer relations (who is the first person of contact) is unprofessional and rude on the phone. She should get further training on how to properly answer phones and how to act on the phone. It is sad to see this place going down hill as Sammamish/Redmond has been my home for 33 years. If someone calls in to ask a question it should be answered not told "well you should check your email". I don't always have time to check my email or pay attention to everything that comes through. YOUR JOB is customer relations which means is someone calls in you act professional and kind on the phone and answer any questions they have not treat them like you don't care about your job.

Saw a YouTube video of this apartment, very worst. They are doing some ugly business in here, please don't stay at this apartment, even current residents vacate this ugly corrupted apartment soon.

Current resident. Just signed my lease here for the second year, without knowing the hidden costs they added to my lease. They sent me an updated copy of my lease 1 day before the end of my lease, claiming that my carpet is "brand new" after having me stay in here for one year and no new carpets have been put. Leasing office is also not helpful in clarifying these in a timely manner. Would not recommend and not worth it. Neighbors are noisy, neighbors/kids downright terrify small dogs, apartment collects $35 dog fee but does not have safe sidewalks to walk them in, dirty dumpsters, unreasonable late fees (increased to $150+ this year). Yep, and the hidden costs they don't tell you about. Reading the other reviews, I shudder thinking what they are going to put me through at the end of my lease. Really hoping I get to rewrite this review.

Select Essex communities offer homes that may be considered rent controlled. Availability and leasing terms are subject to change at any time. Essex also offers below-market rent (“BMR”) programs at select communities. While this is not a rental assistance program, BMR units may be available to residents who qualify based on their annual household income and the number of individuals living in their household. To determine if the community you are interested in offers BMR options, please contact the leasing office for more information.
The machines in the common laundry are front loaded. The one in my apartment is top loading one and afaik all the apartments have top loading washers and front loading dryers.
