Still evicted even though rent was paid in full. They have no sympathy here and do not care. They tell everyone that they will put you ahead of others on the waiting list. Took way too long for jenny to fix the call box. Things needed to be fixed that were ignored even though the office was aware of the situation. The walls are paper thin. You can and will hear like 90 percent of what the people next door to you are doing. Stay away from gracies

Pro's: Near the light rail, new building and nice apartments with high ceiling, keyless entry door which keeps those without the fob from entering, staff on site during set hours, not allowed to smoke in apartment, accept many different types of housing vouchers. Con's: Some riffraff in the area and Tempe PD no longer patrols the parking lot(to my knowledge), Gracie's takes housing vouchers(Section 8/Biltmore Properties/ HomInc etc...) which means your neighbor may pay just 30 to 40% of what you do, very long waitlist(2 years?) due to the section 8 housing shortage. I don't believe Gracie's can expedite your application; even if you pay cash. That would be inherently discriminatory since vouchers are predominantly obtained by the working poor, homeless, disabled, and mental health recipients. In short if you have, or plan to have, a housing voucher this is the place to apply for Tempe. I would be incredibly grateful to live in such a nice place if I was paying the amount these voucher holders do($226 a month based on the standard $755 SSI). If you don't know what a housing voucher, I would recommend you check other places. Hope this helps.

Yes... The poster below is right on the money. Elena Wyatt who is the "property manager" while she is supposedly attending real estate school AND working "134 hours per week" (exact quote, so I guess I should pity her) promised my family an apartment, said to us during the entire process "don't worry about anything I've got you to the front of the list, I'm even putting you ahead of 300 people" 300? Really? She told us we could move in this Monday and to turn on SRP (which we did), then she waited until Sunday afternoon to tell us we had to pay 20% and make payment arrangements on a 6 and a half year old eviction... Then in the same conversation said it didn't matter because she still had to "turn over the unit and clean and paint. Gracies must be something truly amazing and WHY would she tell us all of this?? I will tell you and anyone else that has gone through this exact scam is that it is to simply rake in non-refundable application fees. When my wife was in the office she literally heard her tell everyone that everything was good to go and she was just finishing paperwork. Right. Lets add this up... -300 people on a waiting list -Telling everyone that walks through the door that she will get them in "no problem, she's going to push it through, she's got your back" -Taking $35 from each person, $70 for a family. -Yet according to her own words there was only "one 1 bedroom unit available". She told me we still even had to go through compliance too. But guess what? Compliance puts the burden of "complying" on HER and her corporate office. I plan on filing a complaint and encourage everyone else to call the number or email. Google the words: AZ Housing Department Rental Compliance This is not an isolated incidence of that I'm sure. If you've experienced the same from Elena Wyatt please don't let her continue getting away with this.
