Chompie's Restaurant, Deli, and Bakery

A group of 7 of us met around 11 am for breakfast/ lunch. 6 out of 7 went for breakfast and yours truly went for lunch. I had the Jewish Sliders. Three mini Challah rolls filled with moist lean brisket, mini potato pancakes, and jack cheese. Served with a side of brown gravy and I had coleslaw as my side dish. I hadn't been to Chompie's in over 15 years . Back in the day, I wasn't overly impressed with their food. I was hoping that this time around things would change. The whole group was very happy with their breakfast choices and I was very happy too with my choice. Looking forward to trying out their extensive menus.

Won't ever return which is a shame the food isn't bad we've been here before. I was just trying to take my toddler here on his birthday for some dessert. I walked up to the dessert counter was greeted by a rude woman, I asked about purchasing the cupcakes and eating them at the tables on the other side she said "no that side was to-go only." I then asked if we could order it on the other side to b able to sit at the tables she said yes in a rude tone. All of their staff was extremely rude! I left before we were able to order they were talking about us talking from afar, because my sons choice of food on his birthday was panda express that we had brought in with us. I didn't think it would b a problem as I would have been ordering dessert for my son, myself, my friend, her daughter, and my mother.

For a restaurant with only 13 patrons one would expect service to be good. However, this was not true. Service was abysmal and the food was completely subpar. The server forgot my soup or actually delivered it to another table. He never checked on us. He rudely dropped a glass of water on the table and then responded to a coworker with a loud yell. The restaurant was less than clean. But, the worst thing was the wait staff was on their phones and then serving food without washing their hands or using sanitizer. This is (or should be) a health violation. This is purely a management problem. I see this restaurant going downhill extremely fast and do not expect to see them around any longer. Poor service, bad food and lack of management tells me that Chompies no longer cares about this establishment. With that, I will no longer eat at this restaurant and will no longer eat their bagels or bread that I usually find at the grocery store. Sorry Chompies but I can no longer trust you are a clean establishment and no longer trust your food.
