First visit today. Unfortunately, did not get a good 1st impression. I liked that the group is smaller. But in that small space, the worship music was deafening. The worship team were good and sung contemporary songs so I thought ok, this is ok. It will be quieter when preaching begins. For now, I'll get my praise on! I was looking forward to hearing Pastor Kelly; saw many good reviews for her. But, today, the Sr pastor -Kevin- spoke. Did not enjoy his style. Too many (I) than we. Too many (me) than Him. Wanted to make sure that we knew how many people he knew and knew him in the congregation. Also,I don't care for the "repeat after me" model of preaching. I'm not a kindergartner. I don't need you to tell me what to say or think. Speak God's words. They speak for themselves. And I will commit them to my heart and speak them openly.
