IMPORTANT! My family use to go here and liked Dr. Cox. Now there is another doctor, Dr. Usman Urooj, seeing his patients and like to charge clients more money for an appointment then the insurance will approve. My son just had a follow up from a nail removal and Dr. Usman Urooj decided he need an x-ray. We had nothing due because the insurance pays 100% and the office ladies still charged him anyway. My family will never go back to this place. The good reviews on this site where from Dr. Samuel Cox NOT this new doctor Usman Urooj.

The staff are horrible. I waited in a cold room, freezing for over 30 minutes just for someone to size my foot. My appointment was at 1030 and I excused myself at 1215. The doctor was nice but the staff are inconsiderate. I didn't even get an apology.

I got there on time and did everything that was needed for insurance. It took forever to be seen which was okay because all the staff was pleasant. Dr. Cox is the one to see me and I enjoyed his visit. He was very thorough and explained everything well. My annoyance has came since. I had blood work taken for a script I was to receive. It took a month to get the results and only after I had inquired at a post laser treatment, I was told they had them but was waiting on doc review. Finally a couple weeks after that I get a return call after leaving another inquiry on the VM system, they said it had been reviewed and I was good to receive the prescription and they would call it in to the pharmacy on record. It’s been three weeks and the script still hasn’t been called in. You call the office and have to leave VM for a return call which takes forever. Just do what you say. I just started to read the reviews today and see I’m not the only one who finds this office less than punctual. Sadly I paid for my services upfront or I’d just not return.

There is often a wait, but due to Dr. Urooj’s patience with my teenager it’s a wait I’m willing to make. She hates needles and gets super sarcastic when she’s scared. He handles her so well. A+, highly recommended.

Questions & Answers

How much is the first visit?

That is a simple question with a more complicated answer, because there are so many variables. Do you have insurance or are you cash pay? Does you issue involve x-rays of one foot or ankle or both feet or both feet and ankles? Do you want us to include possible treatments for the condition? Your best bet is to call and talk to our front office staff who can hear what you issue is and give you an estimate. We do have cash prices for everything we do, just remember the front office will do the best they can, but they are not the provider and once the provider sees the patient then they can come up with treatment options with all the pricing so you can make a decision on the best way forward. I hope that helps.

does anyone know if this place is covers by Blue Cross and Blue Shield?

Yes, we are a provider for most all Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans. My recommendation is to call the office and set up an appointment, then give the receptionist you insurance information and she will verify you insurance for you to make sure we are on your plan and she will be able to tell you if you have a copay, a deductible still due, and or any percentage amount you would be responsible for after the insurance has completed the claim. We try to inform our patients so they know to the best of our abilities what if anything they may be responsible for ahead of time.
