If I could give this a "0" I would. They totally Discrimanated against me on my disability. I have a paper registered Animal due to my disability. They say they allow ADA/ESA due to ones own disability no matter what! But they decided to Discriminate and Break the Texas/Gov Federal Housing Commesstion n Disability Acts! I am going up with this situation! I HV started the reporting process already! Justice will be served?

Being at Magnificat means the world to me. I was literally lifted off the street. I didn't know that there was a place like MHI I could go to. I had no concern about my own wellbeing, but when I spoke to the people at Loaves and Fishes, they told me about Magnificat"s housing program. Not only was I given a place to live, but I was given a purpose. I am valued and I have a sense of purpose. I have been nurtured and my self-esteem has returned.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! It is not a well managed organization, my friend spent one day there, was threatened and yelled at in his face by people currently staying in one of the estates. The house he was designated to was in his words "disgusting, run down and invested with addicts" the residents would also plan to go purchase elicit substances as soon as the house manager left and the house manager did nothing to control the people they were assigned to. Do not go here if you expect help, they don't have their things in order and do not care for those their put in charge of. In my friends words again "this place is like a prison, except you are allowed a phone and time outside". Mind you he was threaten in front of the house manager and they did nothing to defuse or control the situation. They offer 3 meals a day which if you can deal with having your life threatened and a lack of sleep, and food that could possibly be a month old or more, i guess go here. I would not recommend or even imagine this place as a viable location for finding help in any capacity. If they get rid of the problem and find new management that is willing to do their job, as well as keep it orderly and fix their estates to house people and not rats and cockroaches then and only then would I even think of this place as anything other then a waste of time and a hazard to all around it. Honestly I do not blame the organization themselves, I don't think they actually know how some of their estates are run to the ground and the kind of people they've let into their program. None the less till it has been dealt with, I would stay away from this place completely unless you absolutely despise being homeless.

I am so sorry, but we are not able to accommodate animal companions.

If I'm homeless, indigent and recovering from bad car accident after having 5 surgeries back in August, still in the wheelchair and won't be able to walk for at least another month; is there a chance I can be accommodated?

We follow federal housing nondiscrimination guidelines and offer housing based on availability and program qualifications. Our programs are designed for people capable of independent living. We offer a 14 day emergency housing program that is designed to give guests a stable family style living environment while they look for the longer term resources. We also have a three month program that is designed for individuals who are on a path towards re-entry into the workforce or working towards securing resources for permanent supportive housing.Living accommodations for both programs are gender segregated dormitory/group hostel style.Additionally, we have low income, permanent supportive housing in the forms of family/group living,SRO/Micro units with shared bathrooms and common areas, and private apartment living. These are offered at well below market rate and are designed to provide affordable housing with access to supportive services for low income individuals on a fixed income.
