Ordered fried chicken tenders. Explained to the manager that we had them last week at the Ooltewah location and they looked nothing like this. I couldn’t even bite into these. He said he would drop some new chicken. After everyone else in our party was finished eating, we asked for the ticket. We didn’t want the chicken anymore, we just wanted to leave. Then the manager brings the chicken out and says he went back there himself to drop the chicken. I explained I just want my ticket, everyone is finished eating. He leaves and I stop a server to ask if we can have our ticket. Then the manager comes back out and says he took it off. He literally discounted $3 a plate for the 3 of us that got chicken. We left and still have to go through a drive through somewhere. Rude service- never even an “I’m sorry they even tried to serve you this mess” or anything. Will not go back. Very terrible service.

I have always liked Cracker Barrel with their southern style food - but . . . This is the second Cracker Barrel I have been to in the last month (one in Chattanooga and one in Murfreesboro) that has told me their latte machines were “broken”. Made me think of McDonald’s and their ice cream machines (when was the last time you found one of those that worked?). Now you no longer get grits as part of the fixins’. Grits are cheap! I love them. With my meal, you got biscuits and gravy and a choice of hash browns or apples. I personally would prefer the grits rather than hash browns. Of course you can purchase grits separately. I did ask the server if this new “rule” pertained to all breakfast or just the one I chose. It seems it now pertains to all breakfasts - and, lucky me, this was Day 1 of these new menu changes - I was told there are other changes. Oh well, we’ve got to figure out a way to get around the “grit rule” without an extra charge. If not, I’ll be making my own at home. I did notice there was practically no one there and it was “prime” breakfast time - 8:30 AM.

We were seated immediately upon arrival. We ordered our drinks which were brought out promptly. We ordered our meals and waited patiently. After about 30 minutes we asked about our orders and asked for some biscuits to snack on while we waited. After about 5 minutes, the waiter brought out some biscuits and said it would be at least another 10 minutes as there had been some screw up in the kitchen. Food was eventually brought out but 3 or 4 tables that were seated after us had been served while we waited for our food. I don't know what the confusion was but the waiter kept our drinks refilled while we waited. The manager gave the table the meal 1/2 off due to extremely long wait. Food was fine but wait was not.

Great job guys! This restaurant was very short staffed this morning. All of the staff kept their composure, smiled and kept guests informed if longer than normal wait times. We appreciate the staff being up front and honest about this, so we settled in, had great conversations and didn't even realize how long we waited for the food. Much appreciate you guys! Keep up the good work!
