Yes,you can. There is a pier going out over the water and of course tou cab stand on the bank. Just be careful to not hook passers-by on the sidewalk behind you :)

Honesty I've caught every common type but majority catfish! Surprisingly some monster cats! And few years ago occasionally pretty nice size carp biggest I caught was 13 pounds!
