The desk clerk Dusty is a very sweet guy, they were able to get me and my friend a room early in the morning when we were traveling so we were able to rest no issue about checking in late night. Beds are comfortable firm, clean rooms, affordable.

Super Outdated and definitely needs to charge cheaper. Room i stayed had roaches. Non smoking room but found cigarette burn sheets. Aldo woke up with smell of mariguana coming from the vents of the room. Tom have a bad smell. Super outdated so donβt go by the picture. See for yourself. I definitely will not stay here again. Nasty π·

Not sure how this hotel has a decent star rating. Stopped for a room on our trip home from Florida to Michigan. After checking in, we drove around the back of the hotel to park. There was what I thought were construction noises coming from the hotel/apartments next door. Two men, with their hoods up, were actually cutting the catalytic converter off a vehicle! We did decide to check out our room and upon entry promptly walked back out. It was humid, hot, and reeked of cigarettes and marijuana. While returning to our vehicle, we noticed the 2 hooded men were now attempting to break into other vehicles in the parking lot adjacent to the hotel. We returned to the lobby to ask for our money back as we would not be staying and informed the front desk of what we saw. The employee was very nice and apologetic, but this was not the place for us.This is for someone looking for a good time and an hourly rate room.

Where to begin. The check in process: Was given keys to 304.. and so we're the people who checked in behind us. While checking in I noticed no breakfast, no pool, and a $175 hold on your card or cash for potential damages. And as we were checking in a lady walked into the lobby with blood on her clothes and her finger was cut. She told the desk person that the blow dryer had blown up. Their response, gave her a band aid. So go to my room but I had forgotten the key card and told the desk person the other guests had been given my room too. I was issued a new room which took five tries with both cards to gain access. The room: It was a room. There were obvious signs of age but there was clearly some serious neglect happening. The bath tub had mildew stains, there were spots on the chairs, I found a spoon on the ground behind the table, my child found an empty pack of cigarettes under the bed, the furniture all had damage from water or cigarettes, and the fridge was barely cold. Oh, almost forgot to mention the rocking toilet. How hard is it to fix toilet bolts? Sleep: While the bed was surprisingly comfortable the walls were thin and the noise and light from outside made it difficult to sleep. The grounds: We didn't bother checking out the pool since it was closed but we did have to go to two different stairwells to get to both of rooms. The faint smell of urine was off putting. There was garbage all over the parking lot. The morning desk person was outside sweeping when we're checked out so I have to give credit there. Also, when I was moving the car after the from switch I had just shut the vehicle down when a woman approached the vehicle and knocked on the window asking for a ride. Sketchy. Like super sketchy. Positive note: The sheets seemed clean. And the air conditioning worked well. We booked here while traveling because Chattanooga was fully booked and it's hard to find hotels that take dogs. I will never consider a motel again since the doors on the outside made the sleep problematic. And after this I doubt I well ever book a Howard Johnson again. TLDR; DON'T DO IT!
