My first time trying this as a relaxation technique. I was super excited because I’ve been under so much stress and I’ve heard about it from friends. The customer service was excellent!! The woman at the desk took me to my room and went through every step with me. Excellent. The experience was a little different then I thought it would be. It wasn’t as dark as I thought it would be and the little light that came through the opening around the lid made it more difficult to really feel the isolation. However, I would be willing to try it again.

Overall it was a good time, was my first time ever an isolation tank, so I don't have much to compare it to. I definitely should have double checked my hands for cuts before I got in, that took about fifteen minutes for them to stop hurting/distracting me. I might've have had too much caffeine as well, I finally started to relax at the last 10 minutes and started really to enjoy the experience, so I know I'll have to go another time or two to get the full experience. It was a pretty clean place, seemed like a quality machine. Can't say if it was worth the 90$ until I try another time relaxed and get the full experience.

Two stars for cleanliness. But that’s really all I can give them. The whole experience seems cheap but the price tag was most certainly not. I was there on a “first timer” coupon that knocked $30 off from the astounding $89 price of a single float. The tubs are less than glamorous and shows signs of age and wear. Additionally, for a guy that is just below 6’, I felt that I was already broaching being too big for the provided experience. The pods should definitely be larger and deeper. Meanwhile the provided amenities such as the soap and the singular small body towel are cheap quality. If this was $20, heck even $30 I’d say go for it. But almost NINETY?! I can get full body hour long massages from trained professionals at cheaper rates and not worry about getting highly concentrated salt water in my eyes. I’ll take my money elsewhere and I highly recommend everyone else that reads this do the same.

Ive been coming to Urban Float for years now. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Floating is an amazing experience. You just lay there and enjoy the benefits of what feels like a minor chiropractic adjustment, a minor massage and mental clarity. It took me 3 floats to adjust to the sensation of floating before I became calm enough to reap the benefits, so don't quit after your first experience

There is no official weight limit for using our float tanks. People up to 350 pounds have reported being able to float with comfort and ease in one of our float pods. If for some reason it simply doesn’t work, we will provide a full refund.
Not only is it safe for pregnant women to visit a float tank, it’s exceptionally helpful for soothing aches and encouraging recovery from pain and stress. Floating relieves tension in the muscles and allows you to experience weightlessness, recovering physically and mentally. It’s been called a must-have for pregnancy, and is highly recommended.
You can book a float at the same time as your friends or loved ones, but each person must have their own individual pod. The floating experience is best enjoyed in privacy, where you can enjoy the perfect stillness and calm.
Fortunately, there are many ways you can make your float spa visit suitable to your needs. In fact, people with claustrophobia consistently report no problems with floating. You are always in full control of the floating environment, and it’s up to you whether to have the lid of the float pod open or closed, and whether to have the lights on or off.
When you float, feel free to relax and even fall asleep. The Epsom salt water used in the 10 inch deep float tanks is dense and elevating, allowing you to effortlessly float above the surface of the water. You can rest assured that a float tank is safer than a bathtub or an afternoon stroll.
We choose Epsom salt for a variety of benefits. Epsom salt water makes your skin feel silky and smooth, and when you float in it, the weightlessness can soothe pain.
You don’t need to bring anything with you to float. Towels, soap, shampoo, and ear plugs are available at the counter as well as other goodies. Some visitors like to bring their own supplies such as a comb or hair tie, a fresh set of clothes, or a music device.
Hi Lucian, We are terribly sorry to hear you had a bad experience. Cleanliness is of the utmost importance to us. Our float tanks are filled with highly sterile Epsom salt water that is fully filtered three times after each float through a 1 micron pool filter, small enough to catch microscopic objects. The float tank is also sanitized with disinfectant and UV light between each float. In light of COVID-19, we sanitize showers, benches, pods, doors, and handles after each float. Please reach out with any additional concerns.
Hi Tatiana, Thank you for this great question! Unfortunately, the Epsom salt used in float tanks may remove hair dye. We recommend using a swim cap if you would like to visit a float tank. Please feel free to reach out with additional questions!
Hello, This is a great question. There is no minimum age for visiting a float tank, but there are special rules for minors. Customers aged between 13-17 are required to have a parent or guardian accompany them, sign our release waiver and remain on-site for the duration of the float. Customers 12 and younger are required to have a parent or guardian sign our waiver and remain in the room during the float and should coordinate with the spa manager prior. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!
