My husband and I visited Fairwood Pet Center on Sunday, April 3rd. We were told by an employee there that we could not interact with a puppy in the play pen because it recently arrived to the store. The employee also said that the puppy wasn't available to be sold for another 2 weeks. However, she offered us an opportunity visit with a different puppy of the same breed since it was available for sale. We visited with the puppy, but we really wanted to purchase the puppy that we were told was not available for sale or visiting. Two weeks seem too long to wait. So, we decided to visit the store again. We went in today and saw that the puppy we wanted was out of the kettle playing with other puppies. We also learned that it had been sold. We didn't understand why🤔🤷🏼♀️ when, we were told he was not ready or availavble for sale until another two weeks. The two employees we spoke with today were very friendly, professional, and help explained the process. It contradicted what we were told on Sunday. 🤷🏼♀️ We honestly are upset that the puppy was sold and we feel we steered out of buying the puppy we really wanted. Maybe the employee reserved it for someone special?? 🤔 We were never told that we could reserve the puppy with a deposit. If we had known otherwise, we would have been willing and able to pay in full. Such a shame it didn't work out for us.

I had the sweetest, most hassle free experience imaginable. This is my first fur baby and the staff at Fairwood Pet Center assisted me every step of the way to ensure that I was completely sure about everything. From which pup I wanted, bonding with the pup, treats to provide for my pup, exercise, tips they have since they've been caring for her, which harness would be best, vaccinations, medicines, and financing. I couldn't have imagined a better experience. To keep everyone in the loop (including the wonderful staff), this is my sweet Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Peanut! She was completely house broken after the first day, is learning the difference between biting and nibbling, likes to hold her own leash while on walks, and has such great temperament. My puppy came from Fairwood. He is a delightful healthy puppy. All their dogs look healthy.
Anywhere from 1,000 to 2,500 :/ overpriced and they get their puppies from puppy mills. You're better off looking at Craigslist to be honest. It even says on that website that they've been using "the same breeders" for YEARS meaning, their breeders constantly breed dogs which in turn, means that they're puppy mills lol.
If you're casually browsing for a puppy then that might be what isn't right here. I would suggest asking them to let you know when / if there might be the certain kind of puppy you are looking for and what your budget is. That might be a better approach, and less work for you :)
Yes. I bought a wonderful puppy at Fairwood Pet Center. The puppies are taken care of very well. Staff was helpful and very friendly. I highly recommend this store.
How about adopting from a shelter? Millions of dogs and cats get killed every year. Save a life...adopt!
